I will be shipping 5 kits to George next Tuesday for him to sell for me. He can offer a much better shipping rate within the USA than I can thus saving you guys money. It will sell for $15 and you will get a grille, clear headlights and clear signal lights.
-
the grille is complete and fits perfect. I used an old AMT 1984 GMC body to test fit but seeing that the MPC Deserter is also Round2, I would be it fits the new Deserted kit since they likely used the exact same tooling.

ok, easy enough to make...so 1987, you might get your wish a lot sooner. Stay tuned, I will bump this up the line.

So I have 1 1984 GMC truck I can use for fitting. It's AMT 1/25 scale. Post a picture of what grille you would want and I think I can create something fairly quick as it was a pretty flat and simple design. I plan on making a trip to my local wreckers and last time I was there there was a lot of these trucks I can take measurements to get something as accurate as possible. I would want to make the grille including the headlights so let me know if you want double stacked or single headlight.

It's is on my list...let me see what I have in kits that fit that body style and maybe I can bump up the modeling of that. I do this on a part time basis so it takes a while to develop stuff. Is this what you are looking for?

Other Grilles for chevy vans, UHAUL body?
Wylde replied to Hondamatic's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I do plan on eventually making those grilles but that will not happen till I retire (Apr 2024). Just not possible while I still have a full time job. As for the tall tops...big maybe. -
ok, I will add that to my ever growing list.

what kind of grilles would you be wanting. I love the square body gm trucks so not outside of my wheelhouse

GMC Deserter?
-
On my list I have plan to make conversions to more commercial style fronts for GMC and Chevy. I personally need 1980 GMC Vandura with round headlights for example. If you want anything in particular, shoot me an email and I will add it to my list. Once I fully retire (less than 2 years) I will be pounding out new stuff a with lot more frequency.

I do ship to Hawaii...it says "My USA flat rate shipping is $17 with tracking up to a max weight of 0.19 kg (including Hawaii)."
-
not to dispute any comments above about my 3d printed resin model, I create what was offered by the manufacture and not what owners changed after they bought the car. I have done extensive research and what I have is factually correct as per what would have been in the car when purchased in 1975-76.

New source for 3D parts: Canuck 3D...
Wylde replied to john sharisky's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Working on it, although the bumper is not as accurate as I would have liked it due to lack of really good pictures and measurements. Front bumper and grille next, t hat will be a lot easier. Question for those of you who owned a 73, what it more common with bumperettes or without? -
New source for 3D parts: Canuck 3D...
Wylde replied to john sharisky's topic in Car Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
Thanks John, I work hard to create something for my models that no one else had. I noticed that there is a shortage of sources that offer those hard to get factory correct parts for models so I started to make my own and who knew they would be wanted by others. I have a lot of parts ideas in the works and right now it's creating a conversion kit for the 96 S10 to 98-2003. So far the front end, bucket seats, consoles and ZQ8 wheels are complete and available, working on the dash and door panels. The 73 Monte conversion kit has me in a bit of stumper on how to model the back bumper correctly, It never looks right. I will get it. Over 40 years as a design draftsman (35 using CAD) has taught me a lot of tricks. -
AK high gloss. Thanks.

no polish...I don't think I will, might ruin it lol.
