Fantastic attention to detail EG! This is what I love about this forum is getting to see how some of these classics were designed and built, far beyond what you can find on the net.

Great build and the perfect hauler Pat. The wood grain came out beautifully now what about a pair of skis to top it off?

Could use a touch of Von Dutch but a really fun build. B.D. would've loved it!

Came across a great article on how to make and use one of the hand held engine turning guides in the January 2010 Model Cars magazine. Very similar to the ones shown above. Turn and Burn as we'd said in the Nav!

Off subject but, Thank you Sir for your fine work, and our sympathies for your loss in the fires. Perhaps Indycals can scale up the files you need, I hear they do custom work besides their stock line.

Many Acrylic sheet goods suppliers have scrap bins with a variety of transparent colors. On the left coast we have tap plastics or interstate plastics. Many manufacturers will have sample kits for a fee. There are some wild florescent and edglit colors besides the basics.

Good eye there with the original start line pics and double shocks. Great progress.

You brought that incredibly detailed model, you spent Way too much for on line and spent 5 years getting every aspect of the rare 1:1 just right, to the model show with a shoe in for 1st place, when some Ham Handed Goof pointing out the interior detail puts hid finger through the windshield and as he pulls back drags your precious pride and joy off the table where you watch in horror as it explodes on impact with the floor sending a myriad of small, intricate hand made parts, scattering through the exhibit hall and under the feet of the advancing crowd!

Taxi Cab days are numbered if the self driving cars are perfected.

Meat product from Hormel (or was it Armor Star) was called Treat, which is maybe a misnomer.

Fantastic work Dax! You have a great technique for weathering and rusted chrome. Love the distopian vision you have for these vehicles. I believe I've seen some of your other builds, or was it just the WIP on this project. Look forward to seeing any of your next projects.
