i've been searching for info on how to tint windows but gave up. i imagine a translucent spray paint would work ? thanks for any responce

motor is kit stock except for plug boots and wires

those are 'pro street tires' {they have tread) i bought on ebay and are the same size as the slicks that came with the kit.

years ago my wife had a black fast back vega w/auto but i guess the way to go was the cosworth twin cam as they are still worth a pretty penny
-
i'm not building it as the USA vega but decided on a pro street version. so i didn't do the full roll cage and got pro street tires on ebay instead of the kits slicks, and different wheels. i've only been on this site for a couple of weeks and have to say i'm kind of embarrassed to post pics because some of you build with so much detail i can't believe it ! this kit is rather plain jane as the front & rear suspension, drive shaft are molded in the chassis. it will be some color metalic blue.

think i'll go with marks advice-i'll buy the resin as ''plan b'' if i don't use it on this build i will on another- i just ordered it.
-
anyone use jimmy flintstone resin 32 ford instead of chopping the top on revelle 32 ? probably easier than chopping revelle's 32 ? i have never used any resin parts .......yet.
-
i've never chopped a top before but would like to build a 32 3 window as a salt flats car. which type saw is prefered ? teeth or no teeth , pull saw ? i did buy the razor blade and wood handle one but have not used it yet, i would imagine the putty and sanding is the time consuming hard part. thank you for any responce.

the detail some of you guys put into a model just truly amazes me

i like it ! i think i'll try to chop and channel my 32 i got as a xmas gift. never tried chopping the top before.
-
built this a few years back- i think i chopped up a amt 37 chevy added ppp tires & wheels from model round up and tan/brown make up for dirt

western NY had a hell of a storm so steelhead fishing was put on hold so i finished the grant king sprint. used the tires that came with the kit as the modified stock car tires i tried were too small and i did find some dirt resin tires that had proper OD but i never used resin tires so i went with the over sized slicks that came with the kit. i did add screen to front bumper and seat belt & wind screen.

My C4 Corvette
redzed replied to jdcar32's topic in 1:1 Reference Photos: Auto Shows, Personal vehicles (Cars and Trucks)
yah the c4 is actually my wifes ! we are 70 and 2 years ago she told me owning a vette was always on her 'bucket list' and besides she said i've had a toy (the Z) for 30 years. our C4 with the fiberglass ''springs 'rides very rough. if you run over a dime you can tell if it's heads or tails! i put lowering springs and bigger sway bars on the Z and it is deffinately a little smoother ride than the C4. the C4 is an auto tranny which is boring to me.i did install new shocks, brakes and a temp sensor on the C4 yah as jdcar32 said .....it takes some work getting in and out . -

i have the PPP tires but they make the grant sprint look like a midget sprint racer -
ken miles of The next year he won the 24 Hours of Daytona, sharing the Ford GT Mk II with Lloyd Ruby, and then won the 12 Hours of Sebring. Several months later, sharing the drive with Denny Hulme, Miles was leading the 1966 24 Hours of Le Mans in the #1 car, but Ford Motor Company executive Leo Beebe, desiring a publicity photo of three of Ford's cars crossing the finish line together, instructed Miles to slow down, which he did. Accordingly, on the final lap the next car from Ford driven by Bruce McLaren/Chris Amon and the third-place car from Ford drew up, and they cruised to the line together.[11] The French race officials, after initially agreeing to Ford's dead-heat "photo-finish", reneged during the final hour of the race. Although Miles' #1 car and McLaren's #2 car crossed the finish line together, McLaren's #2 was declared the winner because having started in second position behind Miles' car, it had therefore covered 8 meters more distance during the race.[12][13] Miles was denied the unique achievement of winning Sebring, Daytona, and Le Mans in the same year.
