  1. Your work is truly amazing
  2. That is amazing! I want to see more....
  3. I gotcha I was taking ya to literally... That makes sense. I usually try and do a nice 600grit then 1,000grit sanding to the body before paint then wash it with Dawn dish soap and let it sit for a day before I paint it. I can see the roughness you are talking about and I think you are spot on. Thanks for the info!
  4. Wow thank you for the reply and info that is very helpful actually. I had heard it was best to warm your paint cans prior to painting. I have a sink in my garage I would run hot water into a glass and let the paint can sit in that for 5-10 minutes to warm up prior to spraying anything.
  5. Wow that is a great tip! Thank you I am going to try that tonight (hopefully!)....
  6. Well have the body and parts painted still need to go in and detail paint motor and interior and some other bits and pieces which I enjoy but not liking how the paint on the body isn’t all consistent so not sure might put another layer of paint on the body parts. Used Rust-Oleum gloss apple red on top of Rust-Oleum flat gray and flat black primers.
  7. Nice. I have bought a lot of sharpies and paint markers just working on technique now to keep my hand steady. That looks awesome
  8. What did you use to do the silver (brake? Fuel lines?) going down the side of the frame? that looks very cool
  9. Thanks everyone! I have added what I have done so far and have pictures of... the 32 Ford I messed up and couldn’t get the dang headlights on but I loved the color and was proud of it until the end but I have another kit I will do once I get my skills a little more perfected
  10. Hello everyone! Been browsing here for 2/3 months finally created an account. After YEARS of wanting to build a model I started my first one in 11/2020 an AMT Duster I failed miserably at but enjoyed it very much! Fast forward I still suck! Lol but I am on my 8th model (have yet to really nail one!) and have my own paint booth and 20-30 models in boxes ready and waiting... to say I have been bitten by the bug in an understatement. Best part of my day is either playing with a model or seeing peoples work on here which is truly inspiring. Can’t wait to build and learn more
