  1. Aaahhhhh! ? I should have known better.....kit is from 1997, I should have printed up my own decals. Oh well, I don't want to risk damaging my SMS HyperChrome paint, I'll just leave it. Let it show its age....
  2. Just a little more progress.....practically all the chrome parts have been redone with both Alclad, and SMS.
  3. Since almost everyone I've seen has done this car in Kandy Red I decided to do something really Kustom. Painted the body with Tropical Glitz "Seductive Red" over a secret formula base to give it a "bloodier" look. My Roosters approved.....? 20230109_120243.mp4
  4. Of course, the motor first.... Based off the numerous pictures I found on the interweb of the 1914 Mercedes Benz inline 6 aircraft motor. And some ad-libbing....LoL
  5. How's this build coming along......
  6. Excellent work....definitely will be watching this one.
  7. Put on your sunglasses, chassis pic coming......???
  8. Okay, main color is down. Tropical Glitz "Coral Reef" over Splash Paints 2k white primer. Still deciding if I want to shoot some pearl on it....and if so, what color?!? Maybe purple pearl? ?‍♂️
  9. Motor meets Chassis.....
  10. Chassis is covered with Roth Metal Flakes "Jazzberry Pink"
  11. A little more work on the motor.....
  12. Started my next slow build. Monogram's 1:25 1959 Cadillac Convertible.
  13. Thanks Steve, the Iceman motors needs very little cleaning....his prints are usually very good.
  14. Yes, I keep a close eye on humidity levels when I paint. Here in Hawaii humidity is normally on the higher side, sometimes I adjust the paint mixture to accommodate for the humidity but when it's really high there's no spraying for that day. Another thing is, I don't use a dehydrator. I still like letting my paint jobs dry on their own....I seem to get a deeper gloss by letting it self dry.
  15. The whole 572 motor is 3D printed by Iceman Collections, including the siamese stacks.
  16. Thanks David, lots of very cool builders really taught me a lot this past year....I'm looking forward to learning more. ?
  17. This truck is pretty much done....check it out in the done/finished truck thread. Thanks for watching this build. ?
  18. Let's call this build "pau" for now..... I still need to fabricate an exhaust system, and a few other little stuffs. This one really pushed my skills....thanks to everyone who keep teaching me new skills and tricks of the hobby.
  19. Gettin' close to the finish line.....
  20. Mixing the last batch of epoxy (?) for this build. The interior inside the cab is finally done and ready to be permanently mounded on the body. ?
  21. Brake lines and lap belts done....
  22. And the body finally meets the chassis permanently
