Aaahhhhh! ? I should have known better.....kit is from 1997, I should have printed up my own decals. Oh well, I don't want to risk damaging my SMS HyperChrome paint, I'll just leave it. Let it show its age....
-
Just a little more progress.....practically all the chrome parts have been redone with both Alclad, and SMS.

Since almost everyone I've seen has done this car in Kandy Red I decided to do something really Kustom. Painted the body with Tropical Glitz "Seductive Red" over a secret formula base to give it a "bloodier" look. My Roosters approved.....? 20230109_120243.mp4

Of course, the motor first.... Based off the numerous pictures I found on the interweb of the 1914 Mercedes Benz inline 6 aircraft motor. And some ad-libbing....LoL

How's this build coming along......

Excellent work....definitely will be watching this one.

Okay, main color is down. Tropical Glitz "Coral Reef" over Splash Paints 2k white primer. Still deciding if I want to shoot some pearl on it....and if so, what color?!? Maybe purple pearl? ?♂️

Yes, I keep a close eye on humidity levels when I paint. Here in Hawaii humidity is normally on the higher side, sometimes I adjust the paint mixture to accommodate for the humidity but when it's really high there's no spraying for that day. Another thing is, I don't use a dehydrator. I still like letting my paint jobs dry on their own....I seem to get a deeper gloss by letting it self dry. -

The whole 572 motor is 3D printed by Iceman Collections, including the siamese stacks. -

Mixing the last batch of epoxy (?) for this build. The interior inside the cab is finally done and ready to be permanently mounded on the body. ? -
