  1. A local company did it for me. Basically you stand in a circular cage that has a lot of lights and cameras for the scan, and they print off of that scan. Since I asked them to do the scan in 1/24 scale which is a lot smaller than the normally do, they used resin instead of sandstone.
  2. I had myself scanned and Resin printed. Here's "me" standing next to my "Shop Truck"
  3. You guys got any suggestions for the exhaust?
  4. Final adjustments on the ride height. Now to take it back apart and finish the interior, and build the MOONEYES Dragster motor to put in the bed.
  5. Made all the glass in house. Was easy as they're all flat pieces. Side windows will remain down. 20230814_095258.mp4
  6. Quick mockup to check clearances......
  7. Seats were painted with Tamiya "Desert Tan" and covered with a Southwestern style "blanket" from Scale Motorsport.
  8. I honestly felt the same way.....but weathering it was the original plan, so I stuck with it.
  9. Vallejo chipping paints with Elmer's glue for the roof. Vallejo and AK Interactive streaking paints for the sides highlighted with the Vallejo chipping paint, and black Tamiya panel liner. Tamiya yellow mixed with a little white to create the "scratches" over the decals.
  10. Tamiya Yellow and Tamiya White over Mr. Hobby Grey fine surfacer.
  11. I'm using a body made by Scale Production. The donor kit is Hasegawa 1/24 Type 2 Micro Bus. MOONEYES theme....
  12. Thanks, I always knew the Supremes with the thin whitewalls was going to be the wheel and tire combo for this build.
  13. I agree, this kit does have its little quirks....but overall the Revell 49 Mercury assembles and builds very nicely. The details are very nice. Having the chassis and floorboard as separate pieces is a beautiful bonus making it easier to do custom painting under the car. Although I personally went nuts with the painting and metal flaking, this kit was really enjoyable to build.
  14. Finally standing on her own. Just a few more parts to install, and she'll be done.
  15. Body meets chassis today.....
  16. "Seductive Blue" over "Snow White" Flames are "Miami Beach" over "Snow White" with "Mutant Ooze Green" in the flame hoops. No clear coat yet. I used Lazy Modelers 1950 Ford flame mask.
  17. Dash and steering wheel painted with "Seductive Blue" over "Snow White" Box stock decals for the gauges. Hasegawa "Mirror Finish" film was used for the trim, radio, speaker grille "Slate Grey" flocking on the floor, and MOONEYES P.E. pedals. The 49 Mercury was never equipped with seatbelts.....one less thing to make! ?
  18. "Harbor Blue" and "Hull Grey" seats, "Steel Blue" flocking on the rear deck. Firewall and floorboard is covered in "Seductive Blue" over "Abyss Black" Wiring and plumbing over the stuff that was printed on by Revell
