  1. A good Friend of mine own a beutiful MB 220 SE, he drove Years ago by the famous "Planai Classic" Snow rallye. He have alittle Crash on a icy Road, "lucky" there was a TV Team and i see the scene after the Crash. One of his Copilots repair the Front wing with a few Hammerstrokes , then they put a Plasterbandage for Childs on it with the Words " More we can't do to it..." The Reporter said " Its unbelievable, the Austrians laugh after they demolished their car" And on our Clubmeeting my Friend told the Story, i coud'nt resist , said no Problem, make a Model and you are a Star on the big Oldtimer Exhibition. Well so the Story starts. I took the Revell 300 SE, not a good One fronm this Company. The Roofline is complete off and they make the long Version, the very rare 300 SEL. This could verified very easy, because the Backdoors are longer. So after the usual parting and stripping, i cut a strip out of the Doors and the Bodyshell. Not so easy, the Cuttingdisc i use, was after this ready for the BLAH_BLAH_BLAH_BLAH place. Then was the open Roof closed and sanded. A bit of a Challenge was the destroyes Wing. I formed this over the Originalpart with Tinfoil , bend it to shape , fill it with Superglue and Fillerballs. Then cut out the part of the Bodyshell, glue the Tin one on and sand all to fit. Painting was done with Acrylics, some selfmade paperstickers and dedcals for the Racenumbers complete this Step. The Rims without Chrometrim where from the Rallyevariant of this model. Made a Rubbermould and dublicate them with Resin. First the Originalcar. Here you can se the cutline, the added Beams and Towhooks and the Foilwing. The Plasticstrips are added, to reinforce the Glueline. After the Painting, i added some Weathering. For the Exhibition i customize the package also with Images from the Event. It was a Big Fun for all the Visitors and Clubmembers. The Red and White Originalcar is amnother 220 from Clubmember. It was really fun to do something different and this Model have aspecial Place by his Owner. Regards Harry
  2. Hi, nothing special, Nitro and Aceton do the Job.
  3. A friend of mine restore old MB himself. He made from 2 ScrapCars a good One. This Car was originally build by the Vienna Company "Jauernig" on a W110 Chassis. This cars have some Difference to the Miesen or Binz, the Backdoor is complete flat, and they used some Taillights from a Ford Cortina i think ? I made a Birthday Gift ? The Model itself is once again from Norev, very complicated to part. Rebuild the Taillights with cutdown Bombs from a 1/72 german Auircraft and Parts from AMT, the small Indicators on the frontwing are Plasticsprue, grinded to Shape. paint details done with Acrylics, Car sprayed with cheap Cans .
  4. Hello Peter, thanlks , here is my first Post, a modified Diecast. Regards Harry
  5. This is the Norev mercedes benz 319 , modified to the Moviecar of the Austrian Movie "Der Bockerer III". https://second.wiki/wiki/der_bockerer_iii_e28093_die_brc3bccke_von_andau I drove this Car, that owned by a Friend, sometimes to a Oledtimer Event. First pic is out of the Movie, the 2 others from my trip. Before this Trip, the whole Filmiong Crew signed on it, too bad that the Owner has not Clercoated it, so this isnt here anymore....... The Norevdiecast have no Doors to open, first i stripped all the Markings and Color. Then i grind the not necessary trims , very hard Material is used by Norev so a bit of hard Work ? After this i carved the Second Door on the passenger Side. Paint it with a No No Name Spraycan. Decals made by myself, i go with the Registrationplates from the Movie, the Blue ones are for Workshop use ,the Chrometrim is a Tape from Plumbingservice. Hope you Enjoy ?
  6. Iam a Modeller since i was 8 Years old, first Models where Airfix Ships and Aircrafts, then a few Tamiya Military Things. But i like the civilian Themes much more, overall the "Golden Time" of Motorsport from the '60ies to the End of Group B in '86, especially Rallye.I build 2 Dioramas, one about the Spa-Sofia-Liege Marathonrallye 1963 and The Lada of Austrian Driver Rudi Stohl on the Safri 1985. I post some Pics in the Gallery. I customized or repaint some 1/18 Diecasts, last one was a Birthday Gift for a good Friend . Iam also a Slotcarfan, have a big Nincotrack , too bad in my new home there isnt Place for it. So its stored away. Also from Interest is all about the Old (Wild) West, so i build a Diorama about the famous Shoot Out at the OK Corral. And a bit of History of my Hometown, Vienna, i build a big Diorama about the first Siege of the Ottoman Empire in 1529. Regards Harry
