I have the T1 Westphalia Camper, only for the Windows , the Interior is worthless. Rude and no good details. As example the Sink is very shallow, so Iam waiting for a real Metalsink from Etsy. This will be a bit to big, hope i can modifiy it for my needs. Made a little Progress, a small Board to serve the Coffee, and a drawer for Spoons or something. Now i tried to build a Espresso machine from Scratch. there are several 3D Files, but i havent a Printer and all of them are not what i want. So i will glue some Plasticart togehther, eventually a LED for Lighting. Thats how it looks so far. Regards Harry

Well at first the mentioned Book is since it was first published, about 2 or Years ago ? in my Bookshelf. And it is one of the Main Reasons tothis Diorama. And a Friend give the Revellkit to me as a Gift....so the Desaster began.....? The Blocked Accsess is a direct copy from Doozy s One, if you look close to his Version, then you can see some Doorhinges on the Plates. He make this also in his "Clutch Magazine" Diorama. That i made also, some Restaurants here in Vienna have such "Doorways" that is how it should work in real Funny fact Nobody realize that on Dozzys Work, also that the Back Doors cannot be close because the Shelfs on the Doors collide with the Shelf inside ? But as i write in my Opening Posting, that is a Funproject without Rivet Counting, no monthlong Research and so on. Use your fantasy , as a Example the Shelfs could be removable, in a guest garden of a Cafe, someone must put away the Munucards, Tables and so on. Regards from old Vienna ?

Still much, very much >! to do on my other 2 current Projects, waiting on 3printed Tires, waiting for the ordered Putty and so on , i started another longterm Project. This popped sometimes ago up, as i see the absolutley stunning Diorama "Windys Books Cafe" from Mister Yasu Okugawa aka Doozy. Here is a Example of this beautiful Artwork. https://i.pinimg.com/564x/43/d6/25/43d625f15ab1e167cb93f5520309c773.jpg Yes Modelling is possible without Guns ....lol & I want to make a Diorama around Summer, Girls and Fun, the Dream of a Single old man :winky: Based on the Revell VW Samba Minivan, modified to something like a Food or Coffeetruck. Girls with Vespas , Beachbuggies, Surfers and so on. All Hollywoodlike, no Rivetcounting ? First i build the Cabintes and Workplace in the Bus with leftover Wood from my Old West Builds http://bennosfiguresforum.com/viewtopic.php?f=79&t=20548&p=226724#p226724 What do you think ?

Hi, yes this where to watch Tirewear.

Hello mates, after a long vacation from Bergamao, Model Exhibition, to Mulhouse and Eindhoven Scale Model Challenge, iam back on it.....and made a mess of the Carbodies....Paint 'em, see every Scratch, every small imperfection. i tried , as so often, to remove the Paint with Alcohol.....and the Resin reacted, get very soft and weak. So i get 2 new ones  and the new Bodies, on the MB the Cockpit is a bit out of Shape, i would build it new out of Alufoil or such

At First Thanks ! In my first Post i have a Plan how it would look. And no, that is way too big, here is a Pic how this looks in Real. The Mercedes Tower stand on the curve exit, where the Curve is going flat. I want the Peak of the Curve and more like a sculpture, a bit like the one that stands in Berlin where once the track was. http://www.eautobahn.de/assets/images/A115_AVUS_Nordkurve_Autobahn_Rennbahn_sw.jpg and thats the Sculpture https://www.alamy.de/stockfoto-berlin-westend-bronze-skulptur-von-zwei-motorrad-fahrer-denkmal-fur-motorradfahrer-neben-historischen-avus-motor-track-jetzt-die-autobahn-a115-avus-173513330.html?imageid=81990E91-5589-45E7-807D-BD4DFEC6B68C&p=158544&pn=2&searchId=7469e514ee7441bd242f273a0389d5f8&searchtype=0 And btw in 1937 there was instead of the MB Star a big German Swastika Flag......

nd again to much work for Things that nobody ever see.....Figures and some Decals for the Dashboards, also the Alumium turned Brakedrums from the kits are nearly invisible.........the Exhaustclusters for the Auto Union build new with Brasstube, 1mm "Fat"....? #avus1937 Bernd Rosemeyer on the Wheel of the Auto Union and Herrmann Lang in his W25 ? Bodies on thr Chassis and noby see the Details of the Cockpits..... This is the Kitpart for the Auto Union Exhaustclusters , no Chance to drill 'em out so i build 'em new with Brasstube....
-
Hello, get Plan for the Base finished. After a Week of Filling an Sanding , i use somr Plasticard . And after drilling and filing the Holes out, sand it again flush with the Auto Union Body . Then the first Paint, Alclad Aluminium Dark, for the Insides and Cockpits. #avus1937 A bit of fine Sanding on the Outsidr an then i try Gravity Colors "Alcoa" Paint. Regards Harry

Yes, i know, Hashtag is the right one, but i can't change the Topictitle !

Hello mates, the unbelievabel Heatis over here in Vienna, so i made a small Update on this project. First the kit design requires the dashboard to be glued into the body. This makes fitting a figure almost impossible. So I made something like a subframe for it, glued Seat and the Dashboard on the Floorpan, like the one on the Auto Union. Then i scratched the Rearwheelcovers from Plasticard and "Pimp up" the front Ones with Plasticard and a "Bit" of mr. White Putty ? Sand and polish 'em , glued in Place and putty the not perfect fit again. Also sand down the way too Big "Nuts" on the Wings and the Headrest. And Putty in the Way to big Tire-Watch-Holes in the Auto union, now i have to wait until all is dried and hard to sand. So i think about the Base.
-
The first Cuts and modifications done to place a Figure in the Cockpits. On the Auto Union i was a simple Trick, move the Dashboard ca. 1,5 mm forward, and then the Arms of the Figure must be more bend. Yes this is right, in those Days the Drivers sit very near to the Steeringwheels. On the mercedes it was a bit more Work. The Headrest is a bit too wide on the Body so i sand it down , about 1mm. Then i cut off the Pad from the Seat and flue it directly on the Headrest. The Seat it self was molded too far forward and too high. So i cut it from the Floorpan, sand it down to reduce the High and go a bit Backward to sit flusch with the Headrest. And i sanded the edges of the Wheelcover to a more rounded Shape. They were molded with a hefty Edge. The Rear Covers i will scratchbuild. Well i know what someone say "thats not correct for Langs Car...." in the Trainingssessions they drive with all, without, with Covers only at Front or Back , so i go with all covered.I like the look much better, with these Covers the Car looks real brutal and monstrous, even in Comparsion to the UFOlike Autounion. Regards Harry PS i think i found Help for the Mille Miglia Desaster, 3D Print will help.....

Hi David, they produce the former GB Model Line https://www.scalemates.com/search.php?fkSECTION[]=All&q=touchwood Regards Harry

Hello Mates, to calm down from the Tiredesaster on my big challenge >> So it looks in real The kits lying here since last Year, at first i want to go with big Scale carrera Slotcars but the carreras have not much in common with the real ones, especially the Benz, i think the Designer smoke somthing other than Tobacco....see yourself...... So i go with the GB/Touchwood Models. This are resin, very well detailed and smooth. need only minorchanges to accept the Pilotfigures. Here the Auto Union Type C " Stromlinie" aka Streamliner , the Cutouts in the fenders are a bit too big, lets see how i can change this. Also on the real car there was somthing like glass over them. and the Mercedes Benz W25 " Stromlinie" aka Streamliner And thats the Plan, using CH Kreative real stonemats in 2 differentt Size/Shades ?
-
....after i fitted the SSKL i test all the Lights, fixed some Flaws, then i see the Desaster.......the Tires on the Bug and the Alfa broke and crumble into dust. This Tires are MRRC Slotcar rubbers, harder then all others and now hard as Stone.Never had such issues, i have 25+ Years old Slotcars from all manufacturers, none has this problem. And on the Way to rescue the little bug, the Frontaxle broke....near to "death from hammerstroke" i lay it beside and build 2 other Lamps for the non lighted Rooms. Time to relax, so i build to floor lamp out of Brasstube, 1/87 Carrims , a 1/87 Flowerpot and a resin Kitchenbox. lighted with a SMD LED. And now brainstorming about the Wheels...........

Hello Mates, hope you all have a fine Summer ? ! After a real hard Time to finish this bastard of a Kit , i present the Result. Painted, Decals, lights and so on i have described in my postings before. I adedd some Handles, made with leftover Tankkitparts and Plasticard, also hoodstrechers ,each out of 3 Etchparts. And the Leatherstrap around the hood is made with Tamiyatape and 2 Etchbuckles. Painted, all Parts fitted Here a Detail that Matchbox got totally wrong. Scratchbuild Toolbox, a "Jerry"can from miniart with etched Buckles and Tamiyatabe for the Straps, and my scratchebuil Carjacks. Now the Funpart, Weathering with cheap pastells and very thinned Acrylics [](https://abload.de/image.php?img=20230721_181111l1ezq.jpg) Last Parts where the Windscreen, changed the "Bulletproof" thick Parts from Matchbox to thin Packagingplastik. The Pilots are also fitted, tthe Raceglasse filled with Whiteglue to simulate real Glass. All like on the Models before. Lights on, all ok ? and finally on its Position on the Diorama. And If someone wonder what happens to the Bugatti ........

Hello Mates ? here's a little update. Its a very timeconsumpting kit, much more Work as the Alfas and the Bug. And i was on an Oldtimerrally with my Club, i haven't a oldie but a very rare mart Roadster Coupe ....So here is at first the "pimped" Exhaust. Added to the Kitpart a Brasstube, sqeeze it Flat on the End to recreate the Fishtailexhaust like the Original. Added 3 Suspensions from Meatbox-Alufoil, painted with different Alclad metals. The Chromed anifolds are painted with Greenstuff Chrome for Brushes, a fantastic Paint ! Next i painted the tank cap also with Greentstuff. The Radiator get a new Stoneguard out of Eduard Etched Mesh, Evergreen strip, a etched selfadheshive Star and a Roccopart for the Lockbase where the KitCap fits in. i sand down the Leather Strap on the Hood and recrate it with 3M Tape ( the same Stuff as Tamiyas, but much cheaper! ) added 4 Etchparts. Then it was Time to Paint and assemble....still a lot to Work..... Some Setailwork and the Hood, the come the fun artt, the Weatherring..

? Hello Mates First Paintcoat is drying, so i added some more tiny Details. First the Penelope Pitlane Steeringwheel gets a bigger Hub and the 2 levers for ignition and mixture adjustment . Also added the 3pointed Star on the Pewter Knockoffs Next was the Rear View Mirror, that is only good visible on the Studio Shots same Car after the Nürburgring Race. The MM Pics are retoched to death or simply bad Quality. Only on one frontshot you can see clearly there was a Mirror. Here on the mille Miglia Same car and Driver oon the Nürburgring And then 2 Carjacks, if I am not wrong, on the Sideboard. On the Photos not really identifiable, i found on ebay a Jack from that era. I think its not far away from the real thing. First Pic show the Real ones vs the Amalgam Model. The later looks a bit odd..... This is the Ebay One And my Tryout Jerrycan and the Hood got etched Buckles and some paint I hope i got it ?
