For(sooth), good Sir Knight.

You got that right, Gary. The thing is, I should have ate a quick snack before I started my workout. The reason behind that is the time between having lunch at work and when I get home is at least six hours. Lesson learned.

This happened a couple days ago. I'm a type 2 diabetic. That afternoon when I got home from work I did my workout and then started to have dinner. Right about that time my sugar level decides to take a hard dive that gave me the shakes. Thankfully after I ate and took a glucose tablet I was okay.

"Lately Ford a driven, have you?" Is how Yoda would probably say that old slogan.

What irks me is a snitch that the rest of us where I work at have to deal with. This individual shows up only to exist, kisses up to get away with anything, and has no problem ratting someone out if if they just sneeze cross-eyed. Although this individual needs to be let go it never happens.

I'm working on the Amt 1967 Pro Street and I'm getting the front suspension ready for installation. The thing I'm not sure about is how the front spindles, part #12, are to be mounted. Are they mounted so the area that attaches to the wheels is closer to the top of the fenderwell so the front of the car will look raked down or are they turned around? Any pictures would help along with whatever answers anyone has.

Summer, Fall, Winter, and Spring are the normal seasons anywhere else, but here in Southern Illinois the seasons are Almost Winter, Winter, Still Winter, and Construction. ?

Plywood is something I wish I had in a two by four form so I could hit the ground in frustration because John beat me to the last post and I was going to say that mosquitoes would be referred to by the old timers in the south as "skeeters".

Some things that hurt a hobby
Plasticated Guy replied to Plasticated Guy's topic in The Off-Topic Lounge
Mark, that's basically what these two individuals were doing. They were still going at it after my shift was over, so I don't know what happened after I left the store. -
For those of you that don't know, my job is courtesy clerk in grocery retail. And part of the items that the general merchandise department puts out are toys. Part of the toys are Hot Wheels cars. At one point there was a glitch that resulted in a double order of these and four bins of them were set up near the checklanes. One day I noticed two people digging deep through bins and placing stacks of the cars into a shopping cart. I thought that maybe they were looking for a certain car that caught their eye or just looking in general. Not exactly. I found out from one of cashiers that were at one of the self-checkouts across from the bins that these people were on the phone while looking for certain cars that were considered "rare" so they could resell them probably at a higher price. Doesn't moments like this hurt a hobby in some way? Wouldn't it cause prices to increase for the average consumer who collects with passion among creating other problems?

So in my quest to find parts for the 1967 Mustang I decided to get this kit for the round tail lights. The tail panels wouldn't work but on the plus side I have another car to build. And as I was going through the parts I noticed that the fan for the engine was missing. I found another fan in my parts stash. What I want to know is has this happened to anyone else.

Eleanor Mustang Trans kit
Plasticated Guy replied to Plasticated Guy's topic in Model Building Questions and Answers
Rex, I saw some pics of the Tokyo Drift Mustang and I see what you mean. I also kept watching and watching (and watching and watching) the video in slow motion and paused it at key points where the camera angles showed as good a view as possible of the side scoops. And after looking closely as far as I could tell there weren't any. The car does have the Eleanor front clip and hood but to me it looked like a stock '67 fastback body. Even if it did have the scoops I plan to put my own personal spin on this and I think it would be more interesting to go stock with just the Eleanor front clip and hood. -
Eleanor Mustang Trans kit

Thanks to you both for the input. -
I've been searching for an Eleanor Trans kit for a future project. The Mustang will be based off of the one used in the Driv3r promo. Here is a the video. After some searching I managed to find this. https://www.modeliukai.lt/en/uscp-shelby-gt500-eleanor-transkit-for-revellmonogram-124-24t009 It says it's for a 1/24 Revell Mustang of the same vintage. But I plan to use a 1/25 AMT Mustang. Has anyone used this Trans kit and if so which Mustang will fit better?

Has anyone else used this stuff? I've heard all of the praises about the Alclad paints but I've tested the Rustoleum and I couldn't see any difference between it and a chrome plated part. What are your thoughts on this?

Hello, all. I managed to snag this original gem for my birthday. I built one of these when it was released in the 90's. It was the first muscle car I built. Now that one of course is lost to time. But a search online managed me a chance to do it again. However, as I said before, it's an original release. The yellow plastic parts are unharmed. But the windows were marred, the decal sheet looked unusable, and the chrome is pitted. I will be able to replace a lot of these problematic areas. The thing is, if I am unable to replace any of the chrome, is there a way to restore it? Any advice will be appreciated.

I've been working on the AMT 1941 Willys Pickup gasser when I noticed a problem during assembling the chassis. The frame itself twisted in the center. I haven't gotten to the body or Interior but I checked them over and they're still okay. I'm going to save those for a future kitbashing project. One of the ideas I have is converting it into an oval racer style. I don't plan on putting a NASCAR chassis underneath. I've looked in the model section at Hobby Lobby and noticed the '34(?) modified and a couple of cars from the Super Stocker series. Would either of these be good candidates? I know some work will be involved and I plan to have the scale equivalent of a Sawzall, welder, and grinder ready.?

I've been working on a Revell 1971 'Cuda and it's in the final stages of body detail. I had just applied turn-signal amber over silver on the side-marker lights. Both colors are Testors and in a bottle. When I started to apply the amber it somehow rubbed the silver off. The silver had dried several days prior. I have a set of decals that will correct this problem in a pinch but I would like to know how this problem occurred.
