  1. I think that's where the problem lies. If the kits are curbside then most people won't buy an engine to put in it. This is at least the problem I face selling JDM engines.
  2. Even then sometimes engines that you think will do well flop, but to go into a project knowing that it won't sell is a bad decision unless the party interested is willing to cough up a large sum of money to cover the design time.
  3. It's somewhat different but not that far off, I question the demand for it though. I barely sell any of the W series.
  4. You can always punt to me if needed, not trying to steal your thunder though
  5. Really what are you having trouble doing? I am shocked you hit a wall on something.
  6. If you already have a grill I can scan it, if it's from Ryan I can just get the file from him.
  7. I print wheels and tires I have some Bonneville wheels but not exactly those. I might bring back the salt flats though. My tires are printed in rubber resin so no need to buy pegasus tires. Zforcemodelworx is my wheel guy for reference.
  8. So thanks to Scott's hard work I did a little touch up modeling and ended up with this. Should list it tomorrow. SBF
  9. I have, but Scott is handling pretty much all of the modeling now as I can barely keep up with printing.
  10. I hope they meet your expectations but I still think they are some of the best printed engines available and some of the more unique offerings.
  11. If you think it's fine without the scan then that's fine, I don't know how detailed the models are, I was just thinking of things like on a real truck with the holes you have in a bed for mounting things and contours.
  12. Do you think a scan would be more useful? I can print it as long as the walls are thick enough
  13. A completely different option would be to have a mold 3D printed then pour and go. The only issue there is you need a 3D model of a tire, or scan a physical tire, I am probably going to scan the tires from my 1:1 car for this purpose
  14. Depends on what your printing in, I can say that printing in rubber resin is a bunch of not fun and expensive about 3X the cost of regular resin, but it makes really nice tires, more detailed than cast IMHO
  15. Yes and no depends on who's doing it and the material is still somewhat brittle and I think mine are better than molds
  16. I don't know which body you are referring to there's like 4 but there's an Electra a Caprice a custom jDM and a Ponton oh and a slowmaro funny car
  17. I think that's one of the things that makes this work so well, I hate designing I love printing and have a lot of time at home being I only work 2½ miles from home.
  18. You do 100% come off as an elitist, but Nano DLP is outdated and not that great. With all the hate on Chitubox I still say it's a fine product if you're willing to pay to play, yes basic is horrible but pro is not. As far as mainland china electronics being garbage I am a red blooded American served in the US Navy and am patriotic but the chitu infrastructure is very good. But hey what do I know. Oh and 15-20° is probably only marginally better than printing flat on the plate. It's all about suction force, and ideally you want as little surface area on a given layer as possible especially in one area, when you get to the roof lots of it will be exposed at once at 20°.
  19. So I will disagree, I have 9 resin printers 4 Mars 3 3 Saturns 1 Saturn S and a Phrozen Mega 8K. So with that out of the way, they all work and behave similarly, yes the phrozen is better built as a machine from aesthetic properties, but mechanically more or less the same minus the immense build plate on the mega. I can and have printed very thin bodies and I have printed my engines at 1.1mm wall thickness, but at that thickness warpage becomes an issue. IMHO it's about settings and what resin you use. There's a big difference in printability of say Anycubic, Elegoo, Opto... Resin and the better stuff like Phrozen, Loctite l, Siraya, yes I think Siraya is a better resin. Get the exposure and supports right and you can print paper thin objects, of course durability becomes an issue but it will print.
  20. You know this was on my list and with a little help from my FE I think it's a good idea.
  21. I think the best possible scenario would be to send me the bed, preferably primered first, have me scan it and send those scans to Scott, if he wants to do it.
  22. I thought he meant that box on the side, I was like how did he get that from the box. I looked like 5 times before I finally found that. Oh brother.
  23. I don't have a SBF yet, excluding the Coyote which I don't see that as an option or even worth considering. But this would be a good thing to put on a Windsor when that happens.
