  1. My guide is a different edition (it's from the internet) it even has a photo of 1 pedal and 2 pedals not just a caption. So I didn't understand this...
  2. Is there a car with only one pedal? How do the gas and brakes work? Thank you!
  3. I bought some pin-up girl figures for my new model car projects. In this video you can also see the current paint job on the VW Beetle: Click here to watch my Youtube video.
  4. As I am also building a 37' truck in parallel I decided to go for the modern restored style. The truck will have more amortization (from use and weathering) and this one will have shiny chrome and a modern paint job. I've tried this metallic paint several times on figures and now I'm going to try it on the car with a little modification:
  5. This is the other Ford I'm making now, alongside the 32'. This one looks easier so I'll start with this one. I am still in the research phase, but I will have some questions.
  6. How do you make the amortization caused by salty, coastal air? I'll make a Revell Ford 37' truck with surf and I'd like to make some wear on the paint like the naval aircraft and vessels. I guess it works a bit differently for car paint. Thank you!
  7. I checked the instructions and unfortunately it's not as easy to mix the parts as I thought. This is the first Revell model I am making and I really like the fact that the name of each part is written down in the instructions. I would like to ask why it says one pedal for the coupe version? Gas and brake pedals were and are on all cars, right? Thank you! I really like the drum shaped air cleaner on the coupe and I'm not sure I'm going to put the hood on either. If I leave it open then I want to do the wiring.
  8. I opened the box and my first impression is not as good as when I opened the Tamiya Beetle 66'. But I haven't checked it thoroughly yet. I don't like the tires, but I also bought a 37' 2in1 kit (I won't say whose YT videos influenced me to buy these two models ) and it has two types of tires so I can choose. I don't know anything about the technical stuff and I couldn't describe the difference between some styles exactly. I am still a beginner modeler and am currently in the learning stage. Techniques, tools and materials that were not needed for figure painting. That's why I registered on this forum, subscribed to several YT channels and I welcome all help, opinions and criticism here and on my own channel. For example, - I was thinking that if the car is made with the fender I will sink the headlights in. (The unused one from the Beetle.) - I might also change the roof. - At first I will finish the cars with the Vallejo gloss varnish but I will try the polish later.
  9. After a long wait my parcel arrived and tonight I can unpack the Fords I ordered. It's not going to be a Sci-fi conversion this time, but I'll definitely do some custom modifications. I also bought 1/24 figures... Which version would you build? I am also thinking of mixing the two to my taste.
  10. youtube player doesn't work at my topic, test here: https://youtube.com/shorts/--CnROYNxJM Error message at this window: "The link could not be embedded because an error occurred on youtube.com." The link could not be embedded because an error occurred on youtube.com.
  11. The paintwork on the Beetle is finished. Got the seats from the Plymouth and some parts of this may be used in a new project. A trailer will be on my channel soon. My new models will arrive next week, but I'm not going to do a sci-fi rebuild of them...
  12. My Youtube channel has reached its first 100 subscribers. I "celebrated" by buying a softbox (entry level). I hope to be able to produce better quality pictures and videos. If my audience continues to grow I plan to purchase a "Canon EOSM50 MkII". Would it be suitable for the type of close-up video shoots I do ("how to videos")? Or should it have at least a portrait ("selfie videos") distance with lots of light? Thank you!
  13. Colors: Vallejo German Dark Yellow primer, Citadel Agrax Earthshade Gloss, Vallejo Yellow Rust, Citadel Snakebite Leather, Citadel Agrax Earthshade Gloss
  14. It is very cool! Can you share some recipes in the Tutorials: weathering topic like the aluminium rust effect?
  15. Very nice model! (You can see mine in the "WIP: All The Rest" topic I made last weekend.) I originally ordered this kit with the trailer, but got the quick build version. The end result would have been similar, but I would have used the engine and trailer for another project. I like the color of yours better than the factory color mine was!
  16. Hi, As you may have seen I've been doing sci-fi (Mad Max, Warhammer 40k, Gaslands style) conversions of old and new street cars. In this topic I want to present my past and current projects and ask for your advice. I have a Youtube channel where you can watch other miniatures. My first converted car was a Skoda Favorit 1:28 from Smer.
  17. Hi Dave, First of all, I wish you all the best! That green colour looks great! The paint on the seats is a bit grainy, but a little sanding might help. I just started the rebuild today because I've done the Plymouth so far. More on my YouTube channel all the time...
  18. This is very cool! I bought this kit this week and will start building tomorrow. I was just about to check the forum to see if there is a topic like this already and if not, open one. It's really cool that we are making the same kit in parallel! Well my problems: 1. The kit is really very nice and I am sorry to cut it! (What I really dislike are the hinges at the front and back.) I wanted to build a hot rod or hot rod truck out of it because I really like it. 2. I am afraid I will also like the Revell Limousine kit. 3. I would love to make a diorama with plants and a lot of rust without rebuilding. Or a Mad Max-style conversion like the one you saw in my introduction topic. 4. I'm looking at other sizes than 1/24 1/25 kits and I'm afraid no way back.
  19. Thank you! This may also be a solution to my problem.
  20. Thank you! And thanks for all the views, likes, subscribes and shares! I am not a professional but if there is interest and positive feedback I will make more videos in the future. A friend of mine really liked the car above and asked me to convert an "AMT - 1997 Plymouth Prowler with Trailer" kit for him, so that will be my next project this weekend. The VW Beetle might get the top of the Plymouth trailer cause I want to make a hot rod out of it. If it won't be pretty, it will be a rat rod at best.
  21. I'm a beginner and have found a lot of good ideas on this forum. I hope I can give you something with my video below. It is not a tutorial, but rather a summary of a research. I am calling it an inspiration video, but I will soon make the second episode with the colors I recommend which will be a classic "How to" video. I would be happy if you continue with this topic. For example, I'd like to know how you get the undercarriage dirty. (for a street car, not 4x4)
  22. I've tried several andriod apps but I haven't found one where the focus area is not just a small area. On digital cameras I have seen that point, zone, and even the whole area were selectable. (Of course, on the more serious machines it is much more complex as the picture below illustrates.) Is there such a simpler version for mobile or is it not just a software issue? Thank you!
