  1. Hi, As you may have seen I've been doing sci-fi (Mad Max, Warhammer 40k, Gaslands style) conversions of old and new street cars. In this topic I want to present my past and current projects and ask for your advice. I have a Youtube channel where you can watch other miniatures. My first converted car was a Skoda Favorit 1:28 from Smer.
  2. Hi Dave, First of all, I wish you all the best! That green colour looks great! The paint on the seats is a bit grainy, but a little sanding might help. I just started the rebuild today because I've done the Plymouth so far. More on my YouTube channel all the time...
  3. This is very cool! I bought this kit this week and will start building tomorrow. I was just about to check the forum to see if there is a topic like this already and if not, open one. It's really cool that we are making the same kit in parallel! Well my problems: 1. The kit is really very nice and I am sorry to cut it! (What I really dislike are the hinges at the front and back.) I wanted to build a hot rod or hot rod truck out of it because I really like it. 2. I am afraid I will also like the Revell Limousine kit. 3. I would love to make a diorama with plants and a lot of rust without rebuilding. Or a Mad Max-style conversion like the one you saw in my introduction topic. 4. I'm looking at other sizes than 1/24 1/25 kits and I'm afraid no way back.
  4. Thank you! This may also be a solution to my problem.
  5. Thank you! And thanks for all the views, likes, subscribes and shares! I am not a professional but if there is interest and positive feedback I will make more videos in the future. A friend of mine really liked the car above and asked me to convert an "AMT - 1997 Plymouth Prowler with Trailer" kit for him, so that will be my next project this weekend. The VW Beetle might get the top of the Plymouth trailer cause I want to make a hot rod out of it. If it won't be pretty, it will be a rat rod at best.
  6. I'm a beginner and have found a lot of good ideas on this forum. I hope I can give you something with my video below. It is not a tutorial, but rather a summary of a research. I am calling it an inspiration video, but I will soon make the second episode with the colors I recommend which will be a classic "How to" video. I would be happy if you continue with this topic. For example, I'd like to know how you get the undercarriage dirty. (for a street car, not 4x4)
  7. I've tried several andriod apps but I haven't found one where the focus area is not just a small area. On digital cameras I have seen that point, zone, and even the whole area were selectable. (Of course, on the more serious machines it is much more complex as the picture below illustrates.) Is there such a simpler version for mobile or is it not just a software issue? Thank you!
  8. This is my technique for hiding magnets in models. With this simple tool, the poles will always be of the same polarity.
  9. Hello I'm a hobby miniature painter, but I also became interested in building and converting model cars. My next project will be a VW Beetle 1/24 conversion. This is a converting of a retro Skoda Favorit street car to a sci-fi vehicle like mixed Mad Max and Warhammer 40k style. Inspiration based on the Games Workshop Speed Freeks board game.
