  1. It's been awhile since I've been able to work on this lil jem. Too many real live projects, but I'm back on it. I watched a ytube vid, think it was DYC, DYP(??) or something like that. They threw powder pearls over a black base then clear coated it, and I knew that was it! Though I thought if it looked so good over black, why not white. It doesn't give it that "galaxy" look, as the black did. Well.... no! I'm going to mock it back up and take a good look at it for awhile. We'll see where we go from there. Enough of my bantering
  2. I have a 3D printer(resin), and I'm looking for just the files
  3. Bought 2 1958 Cadillac Eldorado Biarritz Convertibles for $20. Same models, ARII & IMEX. One is missing some chrome, tires and windshield frame. The other is complete. Don't know what im going to do yet. Stock build or slam the complete. Or attempt to stretch and make a convertible limo.
  4. I realized the typo right after I posted it. Got busy and forgot to edit it. I have 4 of these still in the wrapper. 2 coupes and 2 convertibles, one each in Testers & IMC.
  5. Something up on the cutting board. I scratch built the A/C box. I dont know how you ol' timers built these 6+ piece bodies without a BFH!?! I have a few people upset with me, using a first release 39 Ford Coupe. Hahahaha....
  6. The aperture is low in the shots. When I shoot for magazine entries, I set it between f-11 - f-22. Depends on my background, lighting, lens, distance from the model and if I'm using a tripod or holding the camera. There's a "few" YouTube videos on this subject.
  7. A friend gave me a model to build for him to put in HMCN. He said to build it so people would stop and talk about it. "Anything goes, let your imagination take over!" Well.... After a long boring day at work and 6 hours of YouTube, your model is done! This was a weekend build, and the the paint was spayed cold & thick. Was still wet for pics and show (not my best work, by far). Have fun with the comments!!!!!!! LOL...
  8. Working on my Prius. Realizing how messy the bench is, I look behind me to see if I have room and find a cluster of models from the last show. So, what's behind you? Here's my cluster: Finished & too many projects to finish
  9. Been busy @ my 3 jobs. Finally found some time today to work on the Prius. Finished making the tubs, and backseat back(not my best work). The pan is coming along too. Here's a couple pics.
  10. Need some advice. Trying to make tubbed wheel wells and its not going good. Using the wheel wells from the the pan and flat styrene. Put the styrene on a socket, held in place with o-rings then heated one with a lighter and heat gun with the other. Not turning out good!
  11. Who makes this one & what scale?
  12. I guess I'm not the only goofball out there! LMAO!!!!
  13. Yeah, not sure what I'm going to do yet. Like to go 90's & 10's (wild & tech). My daughter thinks I should go lighting bolts. All I know, Pearl white body, black roof, hood, and hatch. Can't forget, CARtoons bumper sticker!
  14. Working on the decals. This is the first draft. Not feeling it yet.
  15. BTW... Starting to like these ¹/³² scales. They're easy and fun! (Excuse the messy bench! My photo booth is occupied with one of the next projects, GUNDUM!)
  16. Stayed up too late last night tinkering on it. Finished the recess for the "F"can. Plate needs some sanding & primer. I can move it back ¼" to get it off the ground. Howe the tailpipe will stick out a bit. We will see.
  17. Update... Worked on the bottom pan. Cut the little muffler off and cut a hole for the "Fart can". Still have to build a inside cover for it. Painted the center of the wheels gold, weathering is next. Interior,, I'm not sure how I'm going about it. Cut and fold the backseat down and tub, put a sub-box w/seat up, or just tub it w/ seat up?
  18. I shared the mockup in another post. This is a follow up of that post. Here are a few pictures of the progress mocked up. I'll post more detailed pictures later. Laid it in the grass and added a few 24th scale parts. Stretched tires over wide wheels, front defuser, big ass subwoofer, and trying to figure out how and where to mount the fart-can. Going to paint the ceter of the wheels gold or copper. Body pearl white with some kind of graphics, gloss black hood, roof and lift gate. Thanks
  19. Here's something that's been in "mockup" for a few years. It's a parts box buy (glue bomb). I have the passengers side the way I want, now just have to copy it to the drivers side. I think I'm just going to paint the clay when I get it to that point. I haven't mastered the "casting" prosses yet.
  20. This kit I bought for my daughter 3yrs ago. She started to paint it black and it didn't turn out the way she wanted to. So in purple bath and back in the box. She didn't want anything to do with it. "It's ruined!" Plus it's a snap kit, "That's for kids!" On the shelf it has sat. Drove by the High school and saw a gen1 prius that had a cardboard widebody taped to it(stock wheels & tires) with a 4' wing on it. I was lol so hard I didn't get to take a pic of it. After I got home and settled down from my laugh, I saw a dusty kit she gave up on. VALA... From a good laugh to a mock-up...
  21. Something I mocked up for HMCN. Life got in the way and it has sat in a box, time to break it out now. Any guesses what the body is?
