  1. Oh, don't I know. You just can't win.
  2. The Gremlin most certainly has a special place in my heart, so does the Allegro and Marina. So much in fact, that I do own an Allegro and a Marina. I also wouldn't hesitate for a second, if a real Gremlin came up for sale. One man's meat is another man's poison I guess.
  3. AFAIK they are still being built. Or some derivate. Make no mistake, there are versions that easily outrun a Corvette.
  4. Of course we don't need one. But it would be nice to have one to make browsing specifically for diecasts easier.
  5. Not sure where your question is aiming. If you are into show rods they are must haves. Note that the Popcorn Wagon is 1:20 scale (old MPC tool). In the AMT re-issue the rear tyres are too small for my taste, hence I use the ones from the Mummy Machine, which are styrene and the right size. With rear tyres from the kit: With rear tyres from the Mummy Machine:
  6. I just wrote him an email requesting a rubber cap off a valve stem.

  8. Only the stickers are missing:
  9. Saw a program on the telly the other night, where they drove a bunch of these to a place in northern Siberia. So I had to get me the kit. I had no idea they are that hard to come by.
  10. Yeah, but we aren't. So how about an extra section for 1/18 diecasts?
  11. I just lost my will to ever build another model.
  12. Look, look, they use a hyphen, too! According to DoubleD this means they are "for" built garages. As opposed to what? Planned garages?
  13. Let's keep polishing a turd:
  14. I have been into 1:18 scale diecasts for quite a while now. I suggest to open an extra section for them, like there is already for for big scale, trucks, etc.
  15. Spielberg's reflection can be seen in the telephone booth when Dennis Weaver's character calls the police. Allegedly there are 18 more occurrences where his reflection can be seen, but none of them were intentional. It happened when they changed the aspect ratio from the TV to the theatrical release.
  16. What if it was built by a pro when he was eight years old?
  17. I guess in this pro-fession we all develop the same sense of humour after a while. We need it just to cope I think. But what is an 'undertaker laugh'?
  18. It depends, sometimes I'm pretty anti-burial and anti-cremation. For example, if work comes in on a Friday late afternoon, I tend to put it on ice until Monday morning.
  19. You made a Custom two-door sedan out of it? I don't even WANT to know how much effort that was.
  20. LOL, you got a point there. Still, trying to qualify what is nothing more than a built kit off as something extraordinary is a tad shifty. I'm fully aware that the often used term 'pro-built' has no real meaning, but there are models on Ebay labelled as 'pro-built' which are indeed superb and usually the builder's name is mentioned.
  21. The cars aren't 'floored' around the track, they must be controlled. If you just 'floor' it, they do fly off and you can see this happening in the video. 'Driving' these cars around the track is one of the most challenging tests for your reflexes and fine movements and there is absolutely zero room for mistakes.
