Thanks man! I'm dual enrolled at our Tech School here in TN to be a mechanic, I also want to be a body guy, but I don't know if breathing the chemicals and stuff would be very good.

This is the first ever model kit my dad ever built! He said he bought it at a drug store for 3 bucks and brush painted the whole car Testors red and silver enamel. He still has it upstairs in our attic.

I recently got out of trade school for the summer and decided to build a model for the first time in a year. (Finally🤣) And decided to build the Monogram '89 Mustang GT Convertible that I got in a trade with @Matt T.. I converted it to a '93 by adding Pony wheels, a steering wheel with an airbag, and painting it Ford Reef Blue. (only available on Mustangs in 1993) The small amount of wiring I did was actually included in the kit. Thanks for looking!

Rarest kit I probably have is a Jo-Han '70 Olds 442. My dad gave it to me when I was a little kid and told me to never build it. So far, I haven't touched it, but I'm planning on building it one day.

See I get where you're coming from, I'm 17, yet I never touched my first video game console til i was 11. (And I still don't really play it) I spent most of my childhood playing with legos and diecast cars, until I got introduced to modeling when I was 10. Once I built my first kit, I was hooked. I never went back to playing legos again, because in my mind, why build a lego car that may resemble a dodge charger when you could paint, glue, and build a real one in 1/25 scale! Here recently I got a couple friends (Both lego/video game freaks) to build a model. They each built one and complained about how long it took. It took each of them 3 days to make their model. (they pretty much built them with the fast forward button pressed.) After they built their model cars, I tried to tell them about other types of kits, (gundum, planes, ships, etc... Because they both didn't really care for cars, but thats the only type of kit I had to give them to build) all they said was "Eh, I'd rather play my PC." I just don't get it.😔

Just come across this forum, wow the cars are gorgeous! Do you remember who you got the flag decal from? I'm looking to build the same kit and am looking for a flag decal like the one on your General.
