"How about Sabbath? AC/DC? Motorhead?! Oh what do they teach in this place!"

My instructor at school has a 68' Camaro SS, it's currently sitting in our body class shop waiting to be painted. I saw the AMT kit at Hobby Lobby and decided to build a tribute to his car. My instructor is going to paint his Camaro Lexus 8U1 Ultrasonic Blue with silver racing stripes. After a little digging, I found that Scalefinishes has the exact color for models, I gotta order it today. Enjoy! To start the build, I removed all the mold lines, marking them with a sharpie before sanding them down. After sanding them down I scribed the door lines. I always wind up missing a door line and mark the body, I applied bondo to all the spots I missed while scribing. I also glued the front valence panel (I think thats what its called) to the body and bondoed the seems. I'm not really sure if my instructor is planning on putting the spoiler on his Camaro, but I put it on anyways. There's also a couple of low spots on the hood that were filled with bondo. While letting the bondo cure, I carefully trimmed all the parts off their trees, and glued necessary pieces together like the engine, seats, axle, etc... By this point the bondo had cured and I spent the forever long process of sanding and filing until I was satisfied with the results. Honestly everything turned out better than I thought. The exhaust had to be bondoed and sanded too Thats all I got for now, Thanks for looking!

Gibson or Fender? Which do you prefer?

Nice! -
I discovered the world of guitars back in April and have been wondering what brand ya'll prefer. Personally, Gibson is my current favorite mainly because all the bands I listen to use Gibsons as their guitars, my other reason would probably be the fact that out of the 4 guitars I have, 2 of them are Gibsons. (One of the 2 Gibsons is actually an Epiphone, which basically a more affordable Gibson) What are ya'll's thoughts?

Are model kits toys. ?
Musclecarbuilder replied to Richard Bartrop's topic in General Automotive Talk (Trucks and Cars)
I did the same thing when I was little! My dad had bought an MPC Dukes of Hazzard General Lee at Hobby Lobby. (it was 40% off) He brought it home and decided to start building it, he tried to get me to work on it with him, but after about 5 minutes of "Helping" him work on the car. I would end up running off with the body, interior tub, and chassis, making the car part of my hotwheels, 1/24 diecast, and Lincoln log junkyard. He'd always wait til' I went to bed to grab the model from my junkyard. He actually finished it when I was 6 or 7, and put it in a plastic case. Its still sitting on his office desk today. He took it to a show a year or so ago and took 3rd place with it. I was shocked because the model has a fair share of wear from when I used to play with it. (I would take it out of its case while he was at work.) All that to say that models are definitely not toys, because every time I would play with that car, something would break, which would end in my dad coming home from work and spending an hour or so carefully fixing everything I had broken. -
