MCM Ohana (6/6)

  1. I used some Valejo muds, along with real mud and dirt to make SWAMPY look the part. Real easy to do.
  2. Sand, sand, sand, sand......sand, sand.....prime it again.
  3. So sorry Bud.
  4. I just wasn't feeling the 572 for this guy. I ordered a blown 392 from ICEMAN a while back. I'm of the mindset he designed this engine for this kit. It fits perfectly 👌 I think the 572 looks more at home in the '32.
  5. As far as trash in the paint goes, if you watch Donn Yost's videos on painting, he talks about plastic painting stands have static in them drawing dust to your model. He suggests using steel pipe nipples with good double faced tape. I switched to using them and can affirm there's no trash in my paint like before. I did modify a Tamiya stand with a pipe nipple for convertibles.
  6. Looks like every 3rd truck rolling down the road in the late '80s. Looking Good!
  7. My buddy has a few. This one is a survivor Hemi 4 speed car.
  8. Those are Beautiful cars.
  9. https://www.est1946.com/socalhistory1.aspx Alex Xydias founded So Cal in 1946.
  10. Alex would approve 👍
  11. Just left another Ollie's empty handed. There was one pitiful shelf with a couple kits on it. Reefer trailer and a '90s looking Ford truck.
  12. Don't be so hard on yourself. If you don't like how something works out on a model, make a note of it, then practice making it better on the next one.
  13. I like the color.
  14. This will be a cool ride for ssure. It would be cool with a supercharged straight 8 in it, or a V-16.
