  1. Whoa..whoa..whoa! Nice work on this. Love catching your updates. Great fabrication on those pedals, much better.
  2. Really liking the color mash up that you have going right now, for whatever my two cents is actually worth. Nice job, beautiful engine work.
  3. Engine is massive! It really fills up that bay, can't wait to see the top of this beast.
  4. Looking good bud, can't wait to see the progress.
  5. Very clean, build came together well.
  6. Elliott, excellent work. Paint job really pops and I am a fan of your interior on this one. Can I give a small tip? I am in no way a professional here, but those painted on wires on the engine bay could easily be done by adding some real wire at almost no cost. Just find an old cord and cut it open and pull out the smallest wire. Regardless, you did a great job on this one.
  7. That body is so smooth and sleek! This is going to be so awesome to see finished, keep posting! Nice work
  8. Yeah, I created a bungee cord for the top rack and have considered using two cords to hold the tired down. Maybe creating those classic black rubber bungee cords with the "S" hooks? If I weathered the covered tire, I have no doubt it would settle in with the rest of the look. I will do both and see what you all say is the better look.
  9. Thanks, Brian. Once I have the tire cover model painted and weathered, give me another opinion - But you are right, this owner cannot afford any luxuries!
  10. Thanks, Jon. Once I have the tire cover model painted and weathered, I will post and get your opinion for a second go.
  11. Took a few more pictures, thinking I may replace the spare tire with a covered one...thoughts?
  12. Hey, thanks brother. Nah, you knew it right away and I am such a perfectionist in my own right that it was bothering me. I am working on it now to make the hold down rod looks correct or at least believable! Much appreciated on the kind words from both you and your wife. Keep checking back, I should have more soon.
  13. Brought Donna nearly to 100% completion. Had a few minutes to hook up the camera and take a few shots, hopefully will have more soon. There are still a few details I would like to add to her, so stay tuned. Enjoy.
  14. Excellent progress. Those taillights turned out fantastic. Can't wait to see more.
  15. Thanks. I am still playing around with it, I am not sure if someone will question why the tire is not being held down, especially with the hub cap on it. Maybe I should remove the hub cap and fabricate the tire lock down rod that comes up through the center of the rim and holds the tire in place? Thoughts?
  16. Added a custom spare tire rack to the trunk. Built with wire tubing and bent paper clips.
  17. Perfect, nice catch there. I appreciate the kind words. Should have the body on the chassis today, stay tuned!
  18. Working on this very same model now, nice work, love those tires man. Good paint choices.
  19. Much appreciated. I am not into clean, I like lived in.
  20. UPDATE: - Folded up the rear passenger seat and added its metal leg. - Added three milk crates, one filled with a spare battery and tool bag while the other two crates have books/magazines. - Snuck in the ol' Grays Sports Almanac (if you know, you know). - Lastly, topped off the rear seat with a folded and strapped old military sleeping bag.
  21. Thanks, Jim. I've spent a majority of time studying military miniature painting and anything I can weather, I will.
  22. Kanada...you my friend are a scale fabricating machine! This build is one of a kind. Such great work here.
  23. Was this a soft top? Our Malibu was a soft top. I will keep an eye on this build, doing some nice work to start.
  24. UPDATE: More done today...
  25. Almost finished with the interior, just need to add the details/accessories...I am removing the drivers seat spring and just having exposed foam.
