I finished this up last summer. Unfortunately this ended up with some orange peel that I didn't work out, I'll probably build it again with another copy of the kit I have in my stash. Wired and plumbed engine, tinted glass. Mr hobby clear peacock green with some Mr crystal tourmaline green pearl all over a gold base. Custom mixed color for the wheels, added a parachute cord. Other than the orange peel I'm happy with it, I've used it as a learning experience and have gotten better paint jobs on almost everything I've done after it.

Just wrapped this up (sorta) I had it almost done a couple weeks ago but due to ruining the tail light decals I had to get a replacement set from Round2 which they were nice enough to supply me at no cost. Color is Tamiya metallic orange rattle can decanted and airbrushed, and duplicolor 1k clear.

Just need the body, looking for somethin unpainted. I have plenty to trade

I appreciate that. It does appear that area of the middle piece/floor pan is bent/warped downwards. It does make a difference in the fit for sure

I have one of each scale I'd be willing to let go of as well. 1/24 green on the box and the purple on box 1/25

Unfortunately, I do believe this particular kit has been out of production for quite some time. I've had decent luck with some patience and hot water.

I'll definitely have to get some better photos. This thing has kicked my butt so many times now, just to get tossed back in the box. Even old 60s Revell kits fought me less 😂

If I moved it back any further the rear wheel tubs would not be located properly in the wheel arches. I didn't manage to get it in the pics but it was lined up perfectly front to back in the rear. Leading me to believe theres a warp issue up front

I'll definitely check it when I get home. I think the center piece(interior floor and front strut mounting area) is out of whack when I was putting it back in the box (again) last night I noticed it.

I did end up getting the firewall in, I should have added a Pic but the rear wheel wells line up 100% perfectly front to back. I'm wondering if something is warped possibly

I've built pretty many models now, pretty successfully. Yes stuff gets confusing or difficult. But am I missing something here? If I push this up far enough to make the wheel wells sit in the fender opening other stuff is whacky. Am I doing something wrong or is this a difficult kit? I don't want to go gluing stuff to test fit more completely as I'd like to paint stuff first. Any help would be great!

Got my headlights painted and on, I used a chrome pen for the inside of the bucket to add a little realism. Put on the generator I lost that the cat found 😁 and the license plate. Gonna call it done here until I find somethin else I missed haha!

I've seen that ad, definitely wish they'd produce it too! That one in the video is pretty wild! I believe it's Aoshima makes a modern Hitachi but I think it's in 1/35 scale or something. I do have one in the stash

Just out of curiosity, are the molds still around for the AMT John Deere backhoe? These things bring a lot of money and look great in the back of a lowboy trailer.
