  1. Unfortunately, I do believe this particular kit has been out of production for quite some time. I've had decent luck with some patience and hot water.
  2. I'll definitely have to get some better photos. This thing has kicked my butt so many times now, just to get tossed back in the box. Even old 60s Revell kits fought me less 😂
  3. If I moved it back any further the rear wheel tubs would not be located properly in the wheel arches. I didn't manage to get it in the pics but it was lined up perfectly front to back in the rear. Leading me to believe theres a warp issue up front
  4. I'll definitely check it when I get home. I think the center piece(interior floor and front strut mounting area) is out of whack when I was putting it back in the box (again) last night I noticed it.
  5. I did end up getting the firewall in, I should have added a Pic but the rear wheel wells line up 100% perfectly front to back. I'm wondering if something is warped possibly
  6. I've built pretty many models now, pretty successfully. Yes stuff gets confusing or difficult. But am I missing something here? If I push this up far enough to make the wheel wells sit in the fender opening other stuff is whacky. Am I doing something wrong or is this a difficult kit? I don't want to go gluing stuff to test fit more completely as I'd like to paint stuff first. Any help would be great!
  7. I'm not trying to start anything by any means. But my sister bought me a subscription for my birthday at the end of September (2024) should I have seen something by now?
  8. Too many. 😂
  9. Got my headlights painted and on, I used a chrome pen for the inside of the bucket to add a little realism. Put on the generator I lost that the cat found 😁 and the license plate. Gonna call it done here until I find somethin else I missed haha!
  10. Thanks everyone! Appreciate it, apparently my cat found the generator I lost 😁 caught him playing with it the other night. Easier than finding one in my parts boxes!
  11. Saw this on Facebook today, you nailed it man. I can't love it enough!
  12. I've seen that ad, definitely wish they'd produce it too! That one in the video is pretty wild! I believe it's Aoshima makes a modern Hitachi but I think it's in 1/35 scale or something. I do have one in the stash
  13. Just out of curiosity, are the molds still around for the AMT John Deere backhoe? These things bring a lot of money and look great in the back of a lowboy trailer.
  14. Thank you! They're actually from a set of parts I got from "Replicas and Miniatures"
  15. I have a couple others, I definitely want to do a full fender one too!
  16. Body from Drag City Casting, lots of details. For some reason the small detail of the soot on the frame is one of my favorite things I did to it. I need to add headlights, the generator and a couple small things and it's wrapped up! Lots of non kit parts and or modified parts. Revell 37 Ford truck engine, modified grille and radiator, custom cross member, exhaust etc
  17. Thanks! I'm in Whitehall about an hour and a half north of Philly
  18. Older build from a year or two ago, this was my first vinyl top, not easy with the "halo" roof. Custom made the L88 hood, plumbed and wired. Custom exhaust, valve stems etc. This sat in a local hobby shop for a while until I brought it home a couple months ago. Needs some touch up, looks like my thread plug wires came loose and some paint wear from the hood being on and off. But it still looks okay.
  19. it is! I'll have to get some pics of it in the "under glass" section
  20. I haven't tried them yet, but rustoleum does have at least white and a brownish color too. I'm sure the white could be painted to do a blue, green or any other wild color some of the cars back then had. Good idea, I didn't even think of it.
  21. Thanks everyone, there was no wetsanding, polishing or anything on this one. Just sprayed and done.
  22. Wow! Crazy nice build!
