  1. Beautiful execution. Everyone needs a 3 cyl turbo in their life.
  2. She's a beautiful machine. Chevy II are my favorite and I have the Moebius kit being set up as a pro mod. I'll post updates after I have photos taken.
  3. My biggest project on the table. Ford F250 Ranger Super Modified 4x4 puller. These are set up just like promod drag cars. Blown and methanol injected. No detail will be missed. She is now torn down and being prepped for a wild paint job. Yes, five pedals to control the monster. From left to right, clutch, reverser, LF brake, RF brake, and throttle. I scratch built the rear lift system and hydraulic ram.
  4. My 32 tudor chop in the works. I use stretched sprue to fill and then use a homemade tool to make weld beads.
  5. Getting a good look at my 60's Bronco before i rip the windshield off and instal the 3d printed frame with wiper motors. I am happy I went with the hot rod inspired interior.
  6. This is pretty bad machine. I moved deep into Fords over the years, but this is a Chevy I'd definitely put in my collection.
  7. I certainly appreciate the kind words. I'll definitely get digging into it after I get moved. I'll definitely be making a build post.
  8. I love everything about this build. Did you ever complete it?
  9. I guess I didn't even realize. I have two of the lowrider kits, one that I built probably fifteen years ago as a teenager. I'll have to pop open the box and take a look. So maybe I will just end up getting the Caprice cop car snap kit anyway.
  10. I have this exact image in my mind inspired by Steve Morris's Buick wagon, but I wanted to do a Caprice cop car. The only available option is the snap kit. Maybe I should just go with the Impala instead.
  11. This is a pretty exciting build to watch. I have recently got pretty darn good at scratch building and I am really wanting to get into making the 60's Kustoms. I really have no idea where to start...even though I picked up the AMT 61 Galaxie that came with all the customizing parts.
  12. I keep eyeing this kit at my LHS and seeing all that failures this kit has brought over the years... all I can think about is another great abandoned vehicle project. I think I might just pull the trigger and continue on with it.
  13. I may have to grab one of the Elco kits... but another 53 pickup? That makes Four reissues in five years. I bet we could name 50 kits that are in dire need of a reprint. I personally would love to see some more vintage promo cars get the curbside kit treatment so I can finish more cars in-between my normal high detailed builds.
  14. I guess I really don't know. I am not doing anything super specific. He gave me a kit, aftermarket decals, and a bunch of resin parts. I wasn't tasked with finding a specific reference to replicate. I am just going to work with whatever I was given. If it were my personal project, that would be a different story entirely.
  15. My ex business partner got us sponsored by them at the beginning and while everything was kosher over the first couple years, things went sideways with the owner and a weird falling out happened. He used a bunch of our builds for promos and lots of people got to see them... so at least that was pretty cool.
  16. There's a couple of ways to get your hands on one. You can purchase the STL on Cults3d or if you don't have the means of printing one, mcvproducts.net has them available with and without a chevy square body. There are some issues with many of the parts being out of scale and if you're like me, chopping and replacing is a must. The supplied Hemi engine is a bit thick and lacking details and the body panels of the square body ate super thick. These Super Modified 4wd trucks use a flip top fiberglass body and a kit supplied or vacuformed body are much more accurate in scale thickness. I went with a Moebius kit supplied body. My next one will be vacuformed.
  17. I am more of the flat and patina/weathering builder, but the 2k clear stuff I do is stunning. Here are some of my favorites.
  18. I absolutely love these builds and it's exactly my style. I rarely gloss any of my stuff.
  19. This is a pretty killer looking buildand super inspiring. I am stoked to see the final product. Are you still going with the Flathead v8 for the power plant?
  20. Thanks. I haven't even started the fuel and oil lines yet. I have a lot of work left to do, and it's going to be pure eye candy when complete.
  21. Thank you. It's been a lot of fun so far. From left to right you have a clutch, reverser, left brake, right brake and throttle. Most, but not all have the throttle on a hand control. Under load these trucks use the brakes to steer and they are only located at the front
  22. Thank you. I'll definitely be posting more soon.
  23. That Impala is pretty killer looking. I really like it. I guess what I'll do then is lay down my pearl white and let it cure for a couple days. I'll throw my tear graphic mask on, use 1mm masking tape around the edge of the graphic mask, then another round of 1mm mask around that to give a tape guide for masking the whole vehicle off. Pull the middle piece of mask out, shoot the orange in. Pull the rest of the mask off leaving the white graphic covered. Shoot some intercoat over orange before masking the orange off and layering over with the flag mask. Spray that in black, pull all of the masking off, mask over the white on the flag. I can then shoot the purple over the rest, Pull the white mask off and fade it in purple. This way, I can still go from lightest to darkest, minus the purple... and hopefully have the result I am after.
  24. This is all something I have imagined and I really have nothing to reference to, unless I were to draw it out. That is something I am quite capable of doing just for reference sake. I have researched for hours on end how to paint car graphics and didn't find anything of use to what I am trying to accomplish.
