  2. Yeah, that’s a common issue. Some rubber or vinyl parts—especially tires—can have oils that react with styrene and cause melting or staining over time. It’s best to keep them stored separately from the plastic parts.
  3. Go with a glossy black base—it helps the color shift pop more. Then do light, even coats of the color-shift paint. Don’t rush it, build it up slowly.

  5. Yeah! Hope Tamiya should treat you better — their spray quality is usually spot on.
  6. I’ve built both recently and tend to prefer Revell—better fit and cleaner details. AMT has some great subjects, especially older cars, but the quality can vary. Price is usually similar, so it depends on the kit.

  8. 3 Amigos Decals are high quality and durable. Apply on a clean surface and smooth out bubbles with a squeegee.
