Well that is just awesome, Jim! Dig your enthusiasm and hope to be bitten by the same bug!
-
That is awesome! Great look!

Amen brother!

Awesome project! I had that same 37 sedan molded in orange! Can’t wait to see it transform.
-
Great use of the rear bumper! The stock wheel openings on this build look great as is. The fender skirts make it look bulky.
-
Welcome Jim! On your 7th build in just a year? Impressive!
-
Stunning! If I walked into a 1 to 1 car show and saw this, I’m a moth to the flame!
-
I have to say I was a sceptic and concerned about the gaps but you nailed it! The roof chosen is perfect! Can’t wait to see as you progress.

Hey Ferbz, where did the mesh come from? How about the ends of the light bar?
-
Absolutely! And looks swell!

I see a small “?” mark where the image should be.

Thanks. Color is Cadillac White Diamond and the roof is candy burple over Crystal Beth flake base.

The 64 is by far the best of the Galaxy’s for styling. Can’t wait to see all the progress pics!

How did you replicate the chrome for this? -
That color combo is awesome and unique!

Very nice build and congratulations on winning the award!

Very nice! Great color choice! Dropping the rear would look great!

I really dig the removal of the tire/wheel on the trunk lid and the paint choice is spot on!
-
Thanks for the article post. Great stuff here!

I too love this year of a factory custom. Absolutely love the rear view. IMHO I am not a fan of those that decide to put the continental kit on a 59 as it wrecks the flow. I also like when the front nostrils are tastefully filled. What is the second color you are going to use?

This model was completed last year around this time, but wasn’t happy with the results and has never seen the light of day. Currently reworking the body combining a one year only style of a 70 Coronet Super Bee and the Lindbergh 2007 Super Bee Charger. Lots of work has gone into both the front and rear ends to incorporate the 70 in a “What if” approach to the Charger. Thanks for checking it out.

Very nice Ferby! Can’t wait to see the next steps!

While I didn’t readily find one in a Google search specific to 1/24 scale model cars, I found 1/24 scale 1953 Buick diecasts (whole car) going for ~ $35.
