  1. Here ya go.......When I bought this kit I pictured it with the BBS wheels on it but now they aren't doing it for me for some reason. I usually just keep playing around with wheels and tires on my builds until I'm close to done and just use what looks "right" on the car....... in my eyes. This one is following that same pattern. BTW Aluminum slots or Cragars just don't look right on here
  2. Nice. Those wheels are perfect for it
  3. Wow, thanks for your opinions, looks like Lamborghini got it right with their wheel design, all the guys in our club, myself included, agree too.
  4. I've been trying to get my dirty mits on one of these for awhile now, but have never seen one built up until now.........it's looking like a nice kit.
  5. I have always wanted a Miura/Jota on my shelf, so I couldn't pass on this Heller kit even though it's s'posed to be motorized, I'll just have to go curbside with this one. I do have three different wheel/tire combo's that I'm considering too. All de-sprued and laid out Bodywork done and sanded for primer with... wheel choice 1-BBS wheels and kit tires I went with a black primer so the side screens could be masked and stay black. I would like another of these kits to build Fl Black with the chrome screens Wheel choice 2-kit wheels and tires I planned a light to medium blue metallic for the body color then happened across pics of a orange-silver combo and fell for it hard, plus I had some Hugger Orange lying around so it was a done deal. Wheel choice 3-Ferrari F50 wheels and tires. The F50 wheel rims are a perfect match diameter wise to the kit wheel centers, so I could use it's big inch tires/rim with the Lambo kit centers for a subtle modification. This ones close to finished so I hope to be under glass soon.....Thanks for lookin'
  6. Dash is mostly done, just need to find a Roadrunner decal and tone down the glove box lock....maybe even make a thinner shifter stalk. Yeah Joe, I agree on the wheels but I'm building this for someone else who like em showroom fresh...I can still play around with wheels on it till it's gone
  7. Thanks guys. The interior really stands out on this one and "makes" the car, but unfortunately the decals by Bill Goldbach, are no longer made. I think this set killed his ALPS.
  8. A fellow member built this for a club diorama. He used some rusting agent from Hobby Lobby, and it keeps getting rustier and rustier on it's own...not sure what it was called but it's pretty cool stuff Another member built this for the diorama as well Here they are utilized on the dio I built this one using Rustall and pastel chalks ......as a circa 1962 future barn find....before the farmer put it in the barn and is still driving it daily. I had a blast watching it rust.
  9. Being built factory stock, I started with this MPC promo and some Kieth Marks decals. I will be using the rally wheels from a Daisy's RR kit and some pre-printed Polyglas tires from a diecast All disassembled with a sink marks filled on the body I'll spare you the primer pic and show it with the Spinnaker White base, stripe decals and clear sprayed over. Got a nice blue fiber in the clear on the hood (Grrrrr) so I will have to tape it and respray it this coming weekend.........I do like it with these slots n meats on it Interior with decals and embossing powder carpet done. I spent most of the weekend detailing the rest of the interior and it's almost done, but no pics yet. Thanks for checking it out, hope to update later this week
  10. Building out of box from a Heller kit I picked up at Model Empire. I almost put it back on the shelf due to accuracy concerns but I'm glad I didn't....so far it's looking pretty good. I haven't found the just right maroon for it yet and since all of the body and most of the chassis will be the same color I will slowly be working on the engine and interior details (and other projects) until I can paint this. Here it is with the body seam glued and drying Body work done and ready to get washed and primed In primer and some miscellaneous colors sprayed.
  11. This looks great so far Tom. Have fun with those oil cans .
  12. Here's a link to it on my Photobucket, I re-arranged the folder and had planned to repost the pics but I just don't have time lately. There are other dios you can get to from my main page if you are interested,,, they are listed in the WAM section http://s202.photobucket.com/albums/aa33/burninrob6/WAM%2006%20Gas%20Crunch/?start=all
  13. Unless your going to play with them you could just glue one of the wheels to the axle so it won't roll.....or both rear wheels to simulate the parking brake being applied
  14. Love the truck but where'd that kart come from?
  15. Nice build so far John. I like how you have your page set up....my son keeps threatening to do something like that for the club I'm in, I don't have a clue
  16. I like it in silver, reminds me of one of my favorite Ferrari's.... and working in a firetruck factory makes me gag at the sight of red anyway Nice job...have one on the to do list.
  17. Question..... Answer from his first post Ha...Looks like Tommy beat me to it
  18. A seller should be banned with practices like that.
  19. Here's the only one on my photobucket, scanned from an old National Nostalgic Nova magazine
  20. Mine are inventoried in a big pile
  21. Thanks Hugh....I should add that I can't remember if the Galaxie came with chrome or separate clear lenses.
  22. I did these by first covering the complete tail light with Bare Metal Foil. Then I brushed a mix of Tamiya jar paints, clear with a little bit of white added to make it "milky", over the backup light area. There is no need to stay inside the lines as you will be trimming this after it dries, soooo, after ample drying time I trimmed around the backup light area and removed the excess, leaving my backup lense. Then I pressed with an eraser to get the BMF edges down. Speaking of milky paint, if you adjust the white to clear ratio it also works well for molded in headlights and clear front marker lights
  23. Don't know what that is, but you could be right. I've probably seen 10-20 TI's go through in the year and a half I have been on that line, and have never seen one of those. Could be something a customer requested we add during the build or could be an add on after purchase, definitely not standard equipment. I think we would add just about anything a customer wanted us to, just needs to be worked out during the ordering process.
