  1. Clay, because of the work you do, we get to enjoy this great hobby of ours! Be safe.
  2. Yeah I think those days of working in one place for 25/30 years and retiring are long gone (unless you get in with the government!). The longest job I ever held was 10 years. Other than that I've done all sorts of work through out my career just making ends meet. I now work for myself but I am lucky to have a skill that not many can offer here. But things are definitely in a slump at this time. I feel for all you guys. Things are pretty bad right now for sure. I hope things come around for you Dan, and when they start blaring about more job losses etc. on the TV, just turn it off!
  3. Thanx for the ideas guys. I would love to buy after market goodies of any kind, but my budget doesn't really allow for this. Plus I just build box stock for fun, so no competitions. awbcrazy if you find that how to I would love to learn more! Marcos you said you use enamels to do your lines? I thought enamels won't dry on the tires?! I've been using white acrylic for raised letters.... Those tires and rims you showed are awesome by the way!
  4. How do you guys paint in your red lines? I've heard some say they use the decals but I imagine if I have no decal solvent that could be difficult to do. And if you paint them on, what type of paint? Thanx for any help you can offer.
  5. Something you guys might be interested in trying is Createx Auto Air paints. Comes in a wide variety of colours and effects in small scale and takes automotive clear like regular base coat. I don't know how clear this is but if you can see, the metallics in this Plum Pearl are very fine giving the illusion of scale metal flake!
  6. Looks nice! Definitely build a version of yours if you get the chance.
  7. Always wondered what some of these custom options would look like on a build. Nice to see someone trying them out. Thanx!
  8. Very nice El Camino. Very clean build and gorgeous paint!
  9. All great builds! Nice work and glad to see you here.
  10. In whatever colour you paint it, that will be one sweet ride. Nice job so far!
  11. This thing is going to be amazing! Love the work.
  12. WOW! Beautiful work and stunning look to this Charger. I love it!
  13. That's a great box stock build!!!! Nice paint and detailing.
  14. Perfect! What else can I say?!
  15. That is one gorgeous Chevy, especially for such a lousy kit. Well done!
  16. NICE! Even if it was a quick build it looks flawless. Awesome truck there 87.
  17. That is so freaky and insane! ....I LOVE IT!!! Cool idea.
  18. What if you sprayed the paint into a container like a paper cup first, then poured the paint onto the water in a swirling motion starting wide and spiraling tighter towards the middle? Wouldn't this give you that ty-dyed effect? Just an idea!
  19. Can someone show what these markers look like? I'm interested in getting some but I think I'm thinking of the wrong type of markers. I've seen some Sharpies in stores but I think they were not permanent.
  20. Spike that Challenger is looking great. Nice work making it all fit. Is that Jeep Cherokee a kit? A buddy of mine owns one with the V-8 and it kicks butt for a 4x4. Would love to build a replica for him.
  21. Now that's one freaky ride ...er squirrel? Love this thing, it looks awesome!
  22. You guys with your custom work leave me astounded! Amazing craftsmanship and style. Best I've seen here so far!
  23. Now THAT'S a freaky paint job! Nice work.
  24. Looks cool, but the size of the metal flake is a bit large I think. Just my opinion Keep it coming and yes paint the intercooler ...black?
  25. Beautiful builds one after the other! Your paint work is awesome.
