Found tires to fit the Revell Magnum Rims
ericmaxman replied to Rick Schmidt's topic in Tips, Tricks, and Tutorials
Thanks, this should help me find some use for my spares as well. Cheers, Eric -
Yeah. It is completely clear. Cheers, Eric

Guys, I just got a Mustang Cobra R a while back. I will build it soon, but the main problem is that the rear lights is really driving me nut. How am I going to do the red and white on the lights? Its not the '99 model, but the '94-'95 model, in which the lights are horizontal. Cheers, Eric

What are your needed kits?

Guys, I will have a look and see what can I find for you guys. Cheers, Eric -
The EMS and SAL is only to limited countries, am I right? I am aware that SAL is cheaper, but what are the exact difference?

Guys, since I have a relatively old LHS here, would anyone need my help to find any car kits you guys can't find over at the US? Cheers, Eric

Only Malaysian Modeller Here.

Yeah, semi expert. I do help friends and family members to assemble DIY systems. I am good in hardware, but when it comes to software, well, I do have a bit more to learn. I would like a nice MacBook Pro. In black. -

I was wondering about group purchases, but then again, but budget is very very limited. I do like the thought of online shopping, but in May, I bought a Fujimi EVO 7 which was screwed. The decals were all damaged, and the body was half done ( half completed ). I got it for MYR50. Which was quite cheap considering, but the work that had be done to redo the whole car was the real fun part. I dare not buy from eBay anymore, if given a chance. I do frequent to sites like HLJ or 1999, where they do have a good selection of cars. I would like to buy some stuff from you guys, but I have completely no idea on the shipping, the money payments and such. -

I do agree that to a certain extend, online shopping can get a little bit too addictive. The thought of buying something without forking out any cash is tempting, even to me. But its the conversion rate and shipping costs that puts me down. Don't get me wrong, it's just that sometime I just don't get it why the shipping costs more than the actual kits. -

Thanks guys fr the extremely warm welcome. At here, most of the guys I know build JDMs and some European cars. Darn, ever since one of the supermarket stopped bringing in Revell kits, that seems to be the last time I saw a Revell. Tamiya does have some American cars as well, like the Mustang GT (1994). But one of the LHS did bring in two Shelby GT350H. Rather unfortunately, it was snapped up within that day itself ! I did not managed to get it, but it was not much of a problem, as I do have a Mustang Cobra R that is waiting to be started. You guys can have a look at my blog if you want, for a little insight on how Malaysians live. The public transport, well, it horrible at its best. My godmother, which is from Australia, mentioned that those who take public transport here in Malaysia must be really desperate, as it is very unreliable. The other day, I had to wait for a whole 2 hours for a bus in the city center. n the end, I took the train out of the city center, as it was jammed. But life here is not all bad, as the food here also nice, and so are those exotic beaches. I can't wait for my holidays to come soon. -
Cool idea ! I did do the same for my Honda Accord I did some time back. That was for the GPS module. I simple googled GPS and whatever that suited me was taken. I printed it on leftover photopaper. The results were nice.

Hi guys. I'm Eric. I'm from Kuala Lumpur. There are not many LHSs here. I do have a few, but they are mostly out of reach as I do stay quite fay from the heart of town. The only time I can get new kits is when I go to class, as the LHS there offers good service and the price is reasonable as well. Sorry for doing this so late, as I was caught up with my WIPs and assignments. Cheers, Eric -
Thanks for the feedback, guys. I did not know that the strips were chrome, as I don't have these on my local roads. Yeah, from the actual picture, there are lots of differences. Even the foglight area is done in black. @george 53, It broke while it was in WIP stage. So, I did put some glue at there, but unfortunately the glue did not appear as wanted. Anyhow, it was a fun build, but somehow I don't quite understand why the body won't stick to the chassis. It just keeps coming off.

Here are the pics, guys. The car ain't perfect. The bumper broke while I was removing the molded on grille. Luckily it was not too major. Anyhow, here are the pics. c&c are welcomed.

A little update. Body has been sprayed silver (again??!!) and dry fitted. Good thing that so far there has been no fitment issues. I removed the front molded on grille, which looks horrible. I will use some netting to replace it. And rather unfortunately, I broke the bottom lip of the bumper.

Good suggestion. But I will have to find for a Sharpie that is that small first.

Thanks for the feedback, guys. I got it black, as I don't have gloss orange with me now. I have completed the engine block, but the "HEMI" lettering got smudged. The silver paint I used was too thick and resulted in it looking like that. The other side ("HEMI 6.1L") is quite okay. I will upload the pictures soon.

Thanks to all who helped out, especially to conor1148, Zoom Zoom and others. Here are the completed pictures. Enjoy. Not much was modified. I only changed the rim color, tinted the rear side window and that was about it. The third brake light is not perfect, I know, because it got smudged with some glue.

This is my second American Muscle. Problem is, the manual is confusing. I mean, how could there be a part in the engine that is gloss orange? I can't start it unless someone can guide me on this. Thanks guys. Cheers, Eric

Guys, my next Mustang, I intend to do some roll cages for it, do you guys have any idea how I can achieve this? I want to use some of my unused sprues, since it's just laying there collecting dust. Thanks in advance. Cheers, Eric
