  1. very nice! loving the paint and engine
  2. ive started to notice the cheaper revell models looking and holding up better than the "high end" ones ill be watching the progress!
  3. ^^^i usually have to assembly it of some sort to be 100% sure the color will match
  4. wait... what? how much would that cost?
  5. im pretty much speachless.. thats pretty dang awesome
  6. all carbon fiber? how would i do that? that sounds interesting
  7. im thinking maybe red or gold. id like to do black but i know its a very difficult color to work with.' this will be only my second model using lacquers so im not taking huge risks
  8. ah! thanks! i dont even know of anywhere i could get a old model like that here..
  9. well heres my first enzo, i started tearing into this this morning and have been working on and off all day. if i had the body color i would be done already, but i dont! oh well! tell me what you guys think...
  10. i cant remember if it was that mustang or the mach 1 or something but when i got revells kit it had tons of fitment problems with both bumpers and the hood. did you have any of those problems?
  11. im confused.. what happened to the tires? i mean i know they are melted but why?
  12. the first model i tried to make the doors movable on was a 79 camaro, i used a few brand new box cutting blades (big mistake) it turned out alright but i deffinitely wont do it like that again. i like the idea of having two different bodies, that would be alot quicker but i cant necessarily say my budget is that large
  13. do what i did, start making lists of things you could do better next time, and do them! then after you find more things to improve on add them to the list to. is still working really well for me!
  14. victor- i know you never said you heated up any plastic but as kind of a warning to anyone: if you ever heat up the plastic with a match or lighter (how i did it before i got a heat gun) make sure not to breath in the fumes. it could do all sorts of bad things to your body/lungs/ brain happy modeling!
  15. 12? neat! i got started when i was about 12 or 13, but on tanks. later i moved onto a viper and after i "totalled" the paintjob i gave up on it for a while and i started back when i was about to turn 15. im 16 now and still am hooked in other words, since you are just starting out dont let a huge mistake or a model car go completely wrong discourage you. since then ive probably ruined 3 or 4 other cars that i put 10-15+ hours each into due to my lack of experience. its always ok if you make a mistake, as long as you learn from it. oh yeah, welcome aboard
  16. hmm... this is the same engine i put in my mustang dragster that i posted a few weeks ago! nice build!
  17. and how was i supposed to know that? besides.. if something sounds too strange to be true you should always check it out first before spreading it around
  18. i hate to sound like a flamer but do some research before you try to spread stupid rumors. carrol shelby has been making "new gt500s" for two years now.. nothing new to me. also there is no way in hell a good selling car, a AMERICAN ICON practically, could just die in a year or two. i doubt it will die even in 20 years.
  19. just about anytime from when i get home till i go to bed and on the weekends, i have alot of time so its great for a slow working/slowly learning modeler like me :0 unfortunately with gears of war 2 coming out next friday i wont be modeling as much for a week or too!
  20. nice, more pictures hopefully? if you want you can go check out my late model shelby dragster in the under the glass section, you may have to just search for "mustang dragster"
  21. dont like tuners much but this looks very nice and very clean!
  22. thanks for all the tips guys! ive come along way from my last mustang dragster (first chop EVER)
  23. can anyone enter in this? i have a 37 ford that got pretty damaged that i could use for this
  24. eric- i dont have any! i think i might have a few but not enough to cover much space to make it look good. once i get some i will though. clay- thanks, ill try it. all i had was low end testors glue (i know, boo hiss)
