  4. Custom, you , Barbo, and Ken hamilton have all been very influential to me . Sure , I do mostly service stations . Still, what goesinto a GOOD diorama dosen't have to be of an automobile theme to hold my interest , it just has to be well done as you'res is !!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
  5. Jounior , Classic !!!!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
  6. Thats the problem in this ! Ed Shaver
  7. Yes, I raced in the days ............ shoot most of did I suppose too. It was getting too expensive for me after awhile , what with the motors , track rentals , cars not able to run on some tracks . It was fun I guess while it lasted . Would i return , kinda doubt it . I enjoy building the "Static " models more . Ed Shaver
  8. Dingo, I have seen enough of you're talents . Regardless of the medium , a good model is a good model. I appreaceate well crafted examples . As for the "Crybabies "......................................... Ed Shaver

  10. Fine job cept for one thing. It's missing one of my snack trays I used to manufacture for Dodge Van A-100's 64-70 in the day , ( Custom Van days ). Thas O K , I'll fergive ya ......... Ed Shaver

  12. A LOT of what I'm about to say is sort of redundant here as it's history to some . A M T in 1958 came out with what we know of as Un assembled promotional cars with a smattering of decals and a few add on custom parts. They sold enough to go into the next step in 1960, Fords , well some got ENGINES !!!!!!!!!!!!!! In1961, not only did some of these kits have engines , we got a new series that included STYLINE Parts :) !!!!!!!!!!!!! In those kits , Body putty , upholstry sticker paper , decals bigger than in the cheaper 1.49 kits . Hey , we didn't care , we were too darn busy making Stylized custom carz !!!!!!!!! By 1962 , yes , 62 A M T COMBINED BOTH Styline parts and ENGINES in a couple of the kits , I think the 57 Bel Air and the 57 Ford Galaxy. In 1963 , A M T was buying dual page ads in car craft magazine spreading the word of Engines , custom parts , Body putty all for 2.00!!!!!!!!!! :D I dunno, some folks are gonna gripe no matter what ! Ed Shaver
  13. Once again, I have had great relations with most here at M C M . Like George , I'm officially on a fixed in come . Hey, Ive sent products out at my own expense and never even been given even a thanks by a coupe . The part that really rips me though is the Mis representation of parts / kits by one party and the other party being ripped off as a result . Look, be honest , it has a way of comming back ! Ed Shaver
  14. Ian makes some valid points here . Ya'all might want to read carefully what he said. The problem I have with SOME people is their description of said items . SOME people here will tell ya they have an item . You make a deal in GOOD Faith only to receive a mere pitance of what you were led to have been led to beleive .............. Yes , you know whom I'm refering to too.........THATS ALL Ed Shaver
  15. The same thing happened to me years ago when i was still manufacturing Van accessories ,. I even had design pattents on some of my items . Lot of good it did as "Counterfit" items were rampant in the industry during that time . I saw loads of Bogus A-C filters at the docks of the Houston Ship Chanel seized by the U. S customs destined for a rather large Chain store operation . Ya can't stop some folks , the're just no good. Ed Shaver
  16. Very nice for out of the box work . Ed Shaver
  17. Erik, to answer you're question on "Aftermarket seats" being skinny, well some were anyway. Chevrolet had the tightest cab of all the vans anyway. In order to make the seats swivel, you had to remove the armrests as the fold down arms interfered with the door panels . Most customers chose to buy the Leatherete door pulls or do some sort of chain . Others simply took the fold down arm rests off the seats in order to utilize the G M arm rests . Ed Shaver
  18. Dave , I like those ideas too ! Ed Shaver
  19. Tom, the idea of a Chevrolet or G M C Flat glass van really excites me ! Linburg has been the only one and their's was a 1/32nd issue . Ed Shaver
  20. I think Paul is onto something ! Ed Shaver
  21. I'll Bondo any car fer 99.95 ! Ed Shaver
  22. Hey, bring on "Bumpsides "!!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
  23. Well, don't complain, start you're own business. Hey, I've started three very sucessful busninesses and two in resessonary times. I still own one now . Ed Shaver
  24. Virgil, short answer as to how savvy I am, NOT ! Heck , I wish it were 1968, cars had style, housing was cheap, gas was , shucks , about .30c a gallon , loaf of bread wasn't but .50c and peanut Butter was a mere .98c !!!!!!!!!! Hey no Policikal correcness stuff, no heavy handed Mr man , we wazz de Man ! Ed Shaver
