  4. Dan, I wasn't real gung ho on this kit from it's M P C days . I held off and I'm glad I did too. Today, I have the Revell offering that I combined with A M T parts in order to do a Stocker . Ed Shaver
  5. Curt, that model just looks soooooooooo real ! Ed Shaver
  6. This ride reminds me so much of my 69 Delta 88. I lent it out to a customer who wrecked it as he fell asleep behind the wheel . That was I guess twenty years ago and even now , I still miss that car ......... Ed Shaver
  7. Some days , I jus come off being da "Heavy "................................................... I dunno. Ed Shaver
  8. I think we all go through "Spells " so to speak. I've been at a service station diorama now for three years . Between health concerns and having LITTERALLYto scratch build EVERYTHING to make it historicly corect , That has really made it tough for me . Just the research on the oil company , doing a "Plan scearch" through the County , researching what was and what "WASN'T used in 1965, hey it takes a lot of effort ! Ed Shaver
  9. Harry, it's not just Governor Brown. I would have to add the California Air resources board, ( C A R B ) , the enviormentialists , the California Sieria club , Friends of earth , and countess other sub cultures who inhabit the San Gabriel mountaian range along with Griffinth park and mabye Sunset Boulevard . Now ya'all know why i don't live there any more ! Ed Shaver
  10. With some well placed "Black wash " , I'm sure this will be a very efective photo back drop ............. Ed Shaver
  11. Nick, with out wanting to provoke a fight , I must ask why you chose to place a window at such an extreme hight . Doorways are generally 7ft . Most repair shops have a 12ft ceiling , maybe 14. Overall, the building looks fine . The rectangle window placed at the hight you placed it at just dosen't "square" with accepted building practices . Ed Shaver
  12. Tom, the Tokiem Explorer gasoline pumps would have been "Very Correct " in a Clark station such as you are building . Ed Shaver
  13. Steve , you still had to have found a Vintage bed as the annuals had the L W B bed . The Revell kits that followed , ( Fleetside 54 and Stepside 65) were both SWB kits ............. Ed Shaver
  14. Ron, this looks like some of the early Fords I have actually worked on............ Go Flatheads !!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
  15. This looks to be a combination of two old A M T kits , the Chevrolet Apachie and the Rayson Craft boat . Very nice either way ........ Ed Shaver
  16. Curt, the only book like that , that I remember was a small "Pocket Size " magazine affair that was a combined effort between George Barris and Spotlight books , ( Peterson publishing ) C- 1961. I think the title was Building Model Cars by George Barris . I have the book, just not handy to get at.it featured such items as some A M T Trophy kits , Linburg, Auroura and Jo- han . Ed Shaver
  17. Virgil, would you beleive I just use a Mitre box , a couple of Zona saws , and a lot of Bondo ???????? Ed Shaver
  18. Yeah, I guess the old Hi Way pioneer kits are kinda long in the tooth these days too............ I still have an origional 1951 Ford model T . Ed Shaver
  19. Casey, as I remember a picture of that body from years ago, it seemed O K to me . Problem is , All American is no mo ........... and Evil Bay is , well........................ Evil . Ed Shaver

  21. Here's my kids , ( In another life feeding a German Shepard ) ................ Ed Shaver
  22. Hey, go to a model show and just purchace built and unbuilt engines and parts from the kit vendors . You're in North Carolina . They have some terrific shows there . I wish I was living there now as it wouldn't cost me so much to come from Virginia to them .......... Ed Shaver
  23. A/C guys use a shiny however thick self adhesive tape to do ductwork . In some cases , I prefer the use of this product as opposed to Bare Metal foil . Then too, there are times I use a Silver "Sharpie " marker in some circumstances too. Ed Shaver
  24. Absolutely NOT !!!!!!!!!!!!! Ed Shaver
  25. Rick, both Terry and Jim make valid points . I would sugest Googleing the Foothills I P M S chapter in North Carolina , I think it's 1320 Wayne is the contact for that club .............. Ed Shaver
