  1. Thanks Cliff! It was the green mold. I remember getting the kit and being extremely disappointed and as a result I decided to try a kitbash with the '71.
  2. Thanks Lee! It's mostly the '71. The front and rear bits are the only parts from the AAR as I recall. I had to tweak the headlight buckets and scratchbuilt the grille from wire and a foil-copied Plymouth badge...Scratbuilt a rallye dash and made a steering column from a flexible drinking straw. Can't recall what I did about the seats. The engine uses some 1/25 pieces from the Revell '67 GTX and I really should have done something about those Lego-like carbs.
  3. Beautiful! very nasty lookin' Jag.
  4. Thanks Steve. The decals are from Fred Cady, who may be out of business as well?
  5. Thanks William. This is an older build so I'm not sure, but I think it's Model Master Aluminum with some dullcote over the top. The tire decals are dry transfers by Shabo which may now be defunct. I do see NOS stuff of theirs from time to time. Sure wish someone would step in and fill that void.
  6. Again, a great point. The wires and tires are from a junked Miami Vice "Daytona", not exactly period...I like your bit about being a regional racer in the 60's!
  7. Agreed. I think the roof and rear end treatment in general leave a lot to be desired, but anytime you just make it up as you go along, hindsight is not going to be kind. I do really appreciate the charitable comments though, thanks very much everyone!

  10. Thanks Mr. Brown! I believe you cast the rocker covers on it. This one is from 2008 or 2009 I think... I have a '55 "El Camino" underway but it's a'fightin' me right now...
  11. nix
  12. That is just beyond the pale... Stunning!! I have admired your work for years and can't wait to see what you'll come up with next! BTW, did you ever finish the Willys PU you were workin' a (pretty long) while back?
  13. That is excellent in every way...Sounds like you put a ton of work into it and the results show it. Great job!
  14. Wow, some great stuff posted! Here's a couple of mine...
  15. Would the group of engineers and artists that post as 'John Teresi' please cease and desist so that the rest of us schlubs won't feel so inadequate? Seriously though, you are one BMF builder and I don't mean bare metal foil...
  16. Shades of 'Rudy's Beauty'! Awesome...
  17. Wow, what a great project! Wish my Dad had been in to dragsters rather than golf... One thing though, the Nancy kit doesn't have the Chassis Research rollcage(Chassis Research was Scotty Fenn's company, I'm assuming the Logghes did the extension? The pic looks like a Logghe chassis with the Fenn cage.). You should be able to modify the Nancy T body to suit your purposes though. The Double Dragster kit has that cage configuration I believe. I'm partial to injectors but the scratched tunnel ram/carb set up would definitely be more unique. Again, great project, post progress pics!
  18. WOW! Now THAT'S what it's supposed to look like! Fantastic build! I have the built-ups of the Triumph Custom Show Bike and the Honda Drag Bike that I hope to restore at some point. Love the big scale bikes, very fun builds.
  19. Dude, my junk looks like Legos compared to what you, Texas Rat, and some of these other folks do,lol. VERY much appreciate the compliment though.
