  1. Nice!............I really like the looks of this one....The body has a nice "natural" flow to it....
  2. ......gotcha! Looks like I might be waiting for the re-issue then............. ...........Thanks for the info!
  3. Wow-------------- Nothing short of amazing with this combo............You should definitely be proud of your work, because your creations show some serious skill....................Beautiful job!---------
  4. Beautifully executed! I read all of the pages in the other thread, and I must say that you left no stone unturned on this build...... This is a truly beautiful build!
  5. Nice job! Is that body an aftermarket one or ? I have the original AMT Tall body kit, but always wanted one of the "chopped" bodies........see them on the 'bay from time to time.....Was just curious if that was where you got yours.......
  6. I thought so as well........ ......I actually picked up alot of nice kits from there that day including the General Lee....'78 Trans-Am...'68 Firebird 2-n-1 and the L.A.P.D. pro-stock Camaro....all unbuilt. I think I spent a total of $14.00.....Some people just don't know what they are selling I guess.................
  7. Cool............Just be sure to get on H-L's website from time to time, and check out the online coupons they have.......They almost always have one that gives you 40% off of any one item............Comes in handy with their "higher-priced" kits. I've been debating on using the 40% off on a new airbrush system........... ...........................Oh, and welcome to Kansas....
  8. Now that is a cool concept....................
  9. Will definitely be watching the build on this.............I picked one up (unbuilt) at a garage sale earlier in the year for $2.00, and have yet to build it ...........
  10. Excellent job on the Nova....Beautiful color scheme.......... ...................The Trumpeter kit is a work of art in its own...nice, crisp details......the lil' 6-banger motor is nicely detailed as well......................... I have two of these kits, and one is being built as a pro-street.
  11. Ok guys..........I can't get enough of these '69 Nova builds.....I need more pictures!!!!!!!!!!!! ...................Your build is looking pretty sweet.............Can't wait for some more updates.
  12. In my opinion, Pro Street is basically a term for a street car that "resembles" the Pro Stock class in drag racing.......The basic "traits" of a pro-street car are.....narrowed rearend..tubbed wheel wells in the back...huge "steam-roller" tires.....etc. etc...........It seems to me that the 80's were really the height of the pro-street craze, but I personally think that the look is timeless..... .....As far as motors are concerned, pro-street cars have anything from a mildly built small block all the way up to a radically built big-block with everything in between..now if you intend on putting a pro-stock type motor into a pro-street type car, I'm sure there are plenty of reference photos/diagrams on the net, that would give you your answers.. ...It's pretty much up to you when it comes to a pro-street build....I'm a big pro-street fanatic myself, and I've built different degrees of a "pro-street" car.....or what I would consider to be pro-street anyway.... These are just my opinions, and I'm sure you'll get many, many more.......There's lots of helpful folks on here, with tons of experience..................
  13. Thanks for the replies/info......... .......You made some very valid points concerning shipping costs on a "bulk" sale......as well as the points on buyer preference.......Like I said earlier, I've done decent on individual sales, but was just contemplating the other options.....I'll definitely check into eModelcars though............Thanks again for your help.........
  14. Hey guys.............. For those of you who have sold kits on the "bay", did you have more luck selling them individually or as a big "lot"...? I'm wanting to clear some space in the garage, and was curious if selling in a big lot is less trouble.................I've only sold them individually before, but was debating on just doing one big auction...............If any of you "bay" sellers have any suggestions/advice, I would greatly appreciate it. With all of the issues (paypal, scammers, etc.) I'm kind of hesitant at selling them on there at all anymore..... ....Maybe the local paper would be safer................ ................Are there any other "auction sites" that you guys use and would suggest? Thanks in advance for any help..........----------------------Ed
  15. Thank you for the pics....................... Really lovin' that H/O Cutlass.................................
  16. WOW!!!!! That is an extremely beautiful build-------------- Love the great attention to detail! Any interior shots??
  17. Nice lookin' combo................. ..........Can't wait to see them finished.
  18. Another sweet build from the "Mj Garage"................. Nice conversion.................
  19. Wow............Alot of sweet 1:1's floating around in this thread.......... This is a picture of my daily driver........ 2003 Silverado SS, with too many mods to list............ AWD and the 6.0 motor makes this a fun truck to drive............. .........When this gets paid off, I'm gonna start looking for another G-body car to build up. Had an '86 442 with a healthy SBC, and I wish I never would have sold it..........................
