  1. Thanks for the warm welcome everyone. At the moment I am still trying to get over the content of this site... there are some seriously talented, patient and thorough individuals on here. Australian's tend to have a reputation as a friendly bunch so I'll try and live up to that It's good to hear there are a couple of other's on here as well! To the 'Rotor Heads' that have posted thanks for making me feel a little more comfortable as not everyone shares the passion for these unique sounding little engines Finally if any of you would like more information on Australian designed/assembed Holdens, Fords or Valiant/Chryslers just ask away or send me a PM. I have a fair knowledge on these cars and can assist in any pictures of certain models as I have been quite the obsessive 'right-click-save-as' type over the years ;-) Cheers again, Kurt.

    Pure Hell

Wow brilliant work mate! I was thinking of building a Pure Hell/Pure Heaven replica myself but the Bantam Blast and Winged Express kits are hard to get here.
  4. Hi all! I was looking for somewhere to introduce myself and I think I've found the spot! My name's Kurt, aged 24. I've been browsing the site as a guest for a while as I tried to find info on model car sites/forums in Australia. I finally decided to join after not having found much local content. There are some modellers on a Hot Rod site I frequent but not enough to provide help, information, parts and encouragement. I'm a long time member of such forums as Ausrotary.com (large Australian Mazda and Rotary owners site), Ipswichrotorcrew.com (local owners site), Performanceforums.com, the old and current incarnations of Fullboost.com, Boostcruising.com (local South East Queensland auto enthusiasts site) and MoparMarket.com so I know my way around these types of sites. As one could probably guess my interests for the last 7-odd years have been firmly rooted in the Mazda and Rotary-engine communities. I've owned a few Mazda’s in that time and currently am working on a 71' 1300 Wagon. However my first love was definitely Hot/Street Rods and Drag Racing, particularly the old Wild Bunch (similar to U.S. Pro Mod and our own Top Doorslammer) days. I’ve been attending shows and race events since I was about 8 years old and regularly since I was around 13. Anyway back to model kits. I first started when I was around 12 or 13 and managed to set up a little work station in my bedroom. I'm fairly one-eyed with my interests so basically I have only ever built Hot Rod style kits and the occasional drag/pro street orientated kit. It was a regular hobby right up until I finished high school but I have recently decided to get back into it. I have a number of unfinished/unbuilt kits in boxes (don't we all?!) and am currently completing the 1992 Re-issue of the Revell Thames Panel Truck 'Gasser' that I originally started in 2001! Cheers for now, I’m going back to reading old build-up threads!
