Well... lets kick this baby off! First off, anything mild to wild welcome. Remember for the Bonneville side, you want to go as fast as possible... smooth and powerful is the name of the game here. Also, this is highly open to interpretation, if you have a semi with 4 Cat engines... I am sure there is a class, if you have a motorbike powered by raw eggs, there will be a class for that also! Also, remember safety is paramount... SCTA officals check everything! As far as the Pikes Peak side, this is a wild, hopefully sub-12 minute, dash up Pikes Peak in Colorado. The terrain varies widely, the start is on pavement, transitions to dirt and back and forth the whole way up... if you want inspiration look up the Pikes Peak Suzuki XL-7 on Google. Same thing with safety here. Lets say that the project has to be less than 25% complete or a rebuild. Oh yes, the classes Bonneville – Anything raced at Bonneville... remember that nearly anything flies! Pikes Peak – anything that can be raced up the mountain... Rhys Millen has raced up the mountain in a Pontiac Solstice... very close to the same car that he drifts in, so that is also open to interpretation. Lets say 3 photos for the final submission, at least one has to be in the vehicles natural habitat (Photoshop, diorama, whatever) I will find something to throw in as a prize. Sound good? This design has some real potential... while I am replying, I just wanted to say everything I have seen from you is downright amazing from the design standpoint. I think this is a go... do I have to PM Gregg to get an okay to start a GB or do I just start it? Does September 1 to February 1 sound good? That is a solid 6 months... It will be both LSR cars and Pikes Peak Jarius... where the h*** are you? I figured you would have some artwork right up this alley Highway... looks good to me... but isn't that for the Cannonball CBP? Not that it matters, just wondering. Excellent... I will start on it as soon as I get back from IPMS Nats... Put me down for an FW190 I have an idea of the graphics... is it cool if I put it up as long as no one steals the scheme for their racer?

What would be the ideal start date for everyone? I will not be here Aug. 1 to start it, as I will be at the IPMS Nats... would the second week in August to November or so work? How about a combo build? Bonneville and/or Pikes Peak... its your choice. Sound good? Oh, and Highway... lets say no more than 25% finished...

Woohoo! I have read this thread a few times now and I cannot find anything that talks about a start date or end date! I have an FW190 in the wings, I am just wondering if it is okay for this GB...

It is the Fujimi one with a Meko Models Zele transkit and yes it has full engine detail. Thanks for the well wishes... another update tonight.

Well.... Here goes nothing... I made a vow to myself at the last inter club meeting that I would come back and win Best of Show as I totally embarrassed myself with not having ###### done when I was supposed to. Anyway, my order from Scale Motorsports came with the PE saws I ordered... those puppies are fragile... Anyway, after breaking nearly every blade, there was success. Lots of work to do, a little bit of work done... Stay tuned... this has to be done the first of March, time will tell!
