  1. That Willy's is flawless!!
  2. Thanks for the comments guys.
  3. Got the idea to use thread for the spark plug wires from the reprint of the original instructions. Kinda a retro build.
  4. Thanks for the kind comments guys. Nitrozilla, only posted 4 so far. I have some pics of some other new builds just have to find the time to post them.
  5. That thing is sweet!
  6. Here is a almost box stock Johan Mustang funny car. Used Slixx Shirley Muldowney decals. Polar Lights front wheels from their funny car kit. Pick this kit up along time ago from a local hobby store for 25 bucks! Wish I could still find them for that price. They're a nice kit. Thanks for looking. 20150206_133849 by Jason Foster, on Flickr 20150206_133909 by Jason Foster, on Flickr 20150206_134118 by Jason Foster, on Flickr
  7. Here is the final one from this kit for now. This time full plumbing. Scratch built fuel pump. Rear wheels and tires from the Tony Nancy Jr22 Kit. Front tires are from the Piranha kit. Made the front wheels steerable. Added seat belt and photo etched gauge face in the interior. Enjoy
  8. Here's the next one from this kit. Again, almost out of the box. Testors one coat Lime Ice. Rat Packer Nova front wheels. Most of the kit chrome was stripped and painted with Alcald chrome. The valve covers, moon tank, and front axle are the kit chrome. Enjoy, thanks for looking.
  9. Here is a out of the box Fiat from the recent issue of the double dragster kit. Changed out the front tires. Added some plug wires and decals from the parts box. Paint consist of Testors one coat Inca Gold as a base and Covergirl 185 forever festive. Have a couple more from this kit to post here soon. Enjoy guys.
  10. Nope. Used Bare Metal Foil for the window frames and trim.
  11. Presently this project is on the backburner for now. I switched over to the "Sock it to Me" Vette instead. Just finished that this past weekend. See my under glass post. Been experimenting with fingernail polish and wanted a quick build to shoot some paint on. I did get a silver basecoat on the Willy's. I try and post a few pics later tonight of the basecoat. My biggest hang-up on the Willy's is the paint color/ scheme and graphics. It will come back around at some point.
  12. Thanks for the comments guys. Always feels good to get a project done. Now only a couple hundred more to go!
  13. Here's my latest build. Pretty much out of the box. Sprayed with a base coat of model master custom lacquer bright aqua pearl. Then Milani nail lacquer pool party as a top coat. Kit decals. Think it turned out well for an old reissue. Thanks for looking.
  14. Thanks for the positive comments guys.
  15. Here's one I manage to get done earlier in 2013. Thanks for looking.
  16. I was leaning towards blue too. The original idea was a red, white, and blue theme, but its just to loud with the red interior. Thanks guys. Maybe I'll get this thing done this year now.
  17. Here's one of my many Phd's that I have waiting to be finished. Its a 67 dodge charger done up as a super stock drag car with custom fade paint job. I painted the interior red and then the project stalled. Can't decide if I like the red interior or if it needs to be a different color. What do you guys think? Phd stands for Projects Half Done. I thought that was funny. Here's the pic. Thanks.
  18. Looks like a great start. Do you plan to use the kit engine?
  19. I like it a lot. The red and pearl white go great together.
  20. Well I finally got around to modifying one of the headers to match the porting on the heads. Now on to the other side. Thanks for looking.
  21. I was there. It was a good show. I want the real willy's they had on the floor!
  22. I also found these cool front wheels. Now I just have to decide which ones I like best.
  23. Here are the parts for the alternator and master cylinder. I also found these cool fin valve covers. I added the flange at the bottom with some thin plastic.
  24. Here is the new scoop that I made to replace the kit part.
  25. The rear tires are from the Rat Packer Nova kit. The rear wheels are from the Lil' Gasser kit. The front tires are from the Polar Lights funny car kit. The front wheels are from the 33' Willy's kit. I also made a new scoop to replace the one that comes in the Tony Nancy kit. I'll try and post some pictures of it later today. I'm in the process of adding some details that were not include in either one of the willy's kits. I need to add a master cylinder for the brakes. An alternator and battery for the charging system. A steering box and shaft. Once I get all these things worked out I will be able to start painting and putting this together permanently.
