  1. I'm over critical of my work, know it's decent, but thanks for the kind words!
  2. Didn't consider the truck forum!..
  3. Looks great! Love the detail in the engine bay.
  4. Removed the front bumper guard and added extra mud flaps on the rear. I had to trim and re-position the dump box in order to clear the exhaust stack.
  5. I built the Transtar Eagle about 10 years ago. The Livestock trailer was built about 3 years ago.
  6. Looks great. Lovin' the rollbar!
  7. Thanks! Personally I love my 1:1 Honda, stock all the way, and ya know what? It looks and runs good... and all one color. I'm embarrassed every time I see a butchered Honda sporting trunk trophies, primer and dragging the body kit on the ground. If you can't finish it right don't bother to trick it out! Hmm... my next build idea? A memorial for all those abused riced out JDM cars? Thanks for getting my gears turning!
  8. Very nice! I like the color. How'd you tint those windows? More Civics here My link
  9. This car is cherry! Nice color scheme...I like what you did with the rims. Check out some more Civics here My link
  10. I built these kits basically stock. The Civic Coupe's windows are tinted with real auto tint. I added the oil dipsticks using wire. Shot the bodies with Testors paint. De-chromed the exhausts and modified the Civics' tuner mufflers by extending the pipe and removing the metal exhaust tips. Thanks for looking!
  11. Here's the finished product... My link
  12. I started out with Revell/Monogram's '31 Ford Woody kit and modified it by chopping the roof, reworking the chassis and suspension and adding parts box items, including the V-8 mill and exhaust system from a Mustang kit. The rims and tires are parts box items too. About 40 hours of work went into this build and I'm rather pleased with the results. Check out the link for some of the build pics. My link Thanks for looking!
  13. I came up with the idea for this build several years ago and like many builds it fell to the wayside while other projects made it on and off the bench. Just a couple of months ago I decided that I better get the ideas I had for this build under way. About 40 hours of work went into this build and it turned out rather good. I started out with Revell/Monogram's '31 Ford Woody kit. I chopped the roof and modified the chassis and suspension. The Ford V-8 mill fits nicely... Always good to have a few Mustang kits around for donor motors! Used parts-bin chrome mags and tires. There were a couple of options for rims and rubber, including white walls and steelies, but in the end what you see fit best. More of a hotrod look rather than ratrod, but I'll save that idea for another project. The casket was made from sheet styrene, using a pattern found online and re-sized. Just printed it out, cut it up and used as a cut sheet. Almost finished! Besides Testors spraypaints, I find that ColorPlace spraypaint (found at Wal-mart and super cheap) works just as well. Everything hand-painted is Testors paints. Thanks for looking!
  14. I've found Coca Cola works well for stripping chrome. It leaves the undercoat on, just takes off the chrome. And in the case of earth friendly, you don't get any better! Usually a day or two (if you can wait that long) and the chrome is gone. I use soap and water to wash the sugary brown liquid off the parts.
  15. Rather typical... except for the fact that I'm just starting a new project.
