  7. Unfortunatly guys there are no kits being produced for any V8 Supercars, but you can get them in 1/64,1/43 and 1/18th scale Diecast and the most detailed are from ClassicCollectibles...................... http://www.classiccarlectables.com.au/aboutus.html ..................If anyone can make a plastic kit in 1/24 I'd almost bet Tamiya would be the first to do it but I'm not holding my breath!!!!!!!!

  14. This thing is coming along great, the weathering and extra's you are adding look awesome!!!!! Just go slow and steady on final assembly because I wanna see this thing in one piece not 100!!!!!!!
  15. The piping was glued down with super glue applied with a toothpick and just flowed into the groove for the wire to sit. Do you mean the head on the ariel?
  16. The Aircleaner I Machined out of brass and just made it to the size i needed I would have used a real one but Weapons are a pretty big no no here in Australia so I did'nt like my chances of finding a real one in a similar size.
  17. Works fine on my end! here's the link http://client.sigmachat.com/sc.php?id=12510 Cheers Paul
  18. This was finished a while ago but I'm still adding things to the tray as I find and think of them (some suggestions would be great)so far I've added a coil of scratchbuilt barbed wire a jerry can and empty timber crate........................enjoy the pics.
  19. Here's my 49 Merc that I finished a few week back.Paint is Testers Green Metal Flake straight from the can then Polished Body Mods: The Rolled front pan, rear wheel covers and grill are from the AMT Merc,I added a frenched ariel with a Scratchbuilt head on top (weird yes)and the tail lights are from a AMT 50 Ford kit,the mirror and rear bumber holes have been filled for a smooth clean look.I also machined some bullets for the wiper mounts. Wheels: The tyres are the kit blackwalls with painted whitewalls and the rims are the kit sleelies painted red with hubcaps from the Johan 59 rambler wagon with Machined bullet centers. Chassis: The rear has been lowered about 3 scale inches and the front is kit height.Machined mufflers were added and the rest painted various colors. Interior:Painted flat white with red piping, red flocking for the carpet and parcel shelf and a gloss red dash with pin head knobs and metal foil trim. The rear seat has some item that the owner of this sled picked up from a swap meet or car show whilst out cruzin on a sunny weekend! It also has a Srunken head shift knob! Engine: Painted hot chilli red and the rocker covers were replaced with items from an ARII kit and the air cleaner is from my parts box and plug wiring was added.
  20. Thanks for the great comments guys! The engine is probably about 1/16th scale (unknown what kit it's from)and thats why I used it because I was trying to step away from realistic modeling and just do something WILD!!!!!!! Cheers Paul
  21. Here's the latest from the Detail Downunder workshop This has been a quick project that fell together within a few weeks using lots of different bits and pieces, here's a brief rundown: The body is a resin 31 Ford that comes pre "rat"ed so to speak as its already chopped and channeled (available from my site soon)the only mods i did was to open the roof and replace the firewall and painted flat white and gloss red with home made scollups and lots of weathering. The chassis and suspension is from the AMT 32 5 window kit (coddington issue)and the frame has been lenghtned about 10 scale inches. The engine is from a larger scale MG kit that i was given at a recent club meet (it only came with motor chassis and 3 wheels)and I've added lots of bits to make it look cool including scrathbuilt solder header with the tip made from the muffler that came with the engine and rusted with craft store rust. The blower is from my parts box and the scoop is from the revell 41 willys the moon take was machined on my lathe along with a coil and various caps etc.Wheels are :front Firestone skinnies with the rims from the new merc kit and I added some Moonies (also available from me)and rear wheels are from the 41 Lincoln kit with Machined baby moonies that i made.It has the drum brakes alround from the new Merc also.I could go on all night about the rest so I will let the pics do the talkin..............................Enjoy (comments and questions welcome) I also won Model of the Year" MOTY " last night at our annual club competition with this (Austalian Model Car Club)so I'm glad I stayed up until Midnight to finish it for the meeting Thanks for looking......................................................................... .........
