Made a slight adjustment to the roll cage. I'm not sure if I'm completely happy with it. I may built another one.

Only time on the bench today was to sip some coffee before heading out. I did manage early this week to get all the suspension parts cleaned up and ready for primer and painting. Firewall and roll cage also done. I did order slicks from Texas 3D Customs (thanks Phil for the info) that I'll check out when they arrive. The slicks I have for the build measure out to a little over 9 scale inches. I did a complete test fit yesterday of everything and gave it my blessing. Waiting for the body paint from MCW.

Thanks everyone for the interest in this build. I use an old Samsung android for the photo's . The fan belt came from Machined Aluminum Specialties, was part of a pro stock detailing system that I bought about 15 years ago. I got lucky, the belt fit perfectly. Here are some pics of fan belts that I have. The Model Car Garage is a little thick, but could work. Off the Sprue seems more in scale, it's thin rubber, downside is it has to be glued together, which at all cost I was trying to avoid. Hope this helps.

Awesome build.

Did some test fitting, redrilling and sanding on the pivot plates and rear mount. Little more clean up left to do. Got the tire wheel combo picked out, it's my second choice set up, but it will look good. No luck so far finding the AMT 9.00 x 15 slicks, so I may have to use an alterative tire. Made a new bulb for the shift light.

All AN fittings and hardware are from RB Motion. AN fittings come anodized. Looks like his website is still down, I don't know if he's ever going to continue to produce those awesome products.

Holley fuel pressure regulator with bracket. Played around with a shift light, gonna redo the bulb. Starting on the suspension next. I still haven't decided on a color yet. and I know that's holding the build up.

Spectacular build. Awesome in everyway, congrats.

Thanks Ron, I'll start hunting for those.

Got the pivot plates and rear mounts off. Going to clean everything a little bit more for a better fit.

I got the leaf springs sanded down. Surgery on Cal Tracs next,. Also I have to get tire and wheel combo picked out.
-
Wow, what a super clean build. Very well done.

Cal Tracs are from MCV Products.

Cal Tracs are next. Plan on removing the rear mounts and pivot plates, clean them up and using them on the Nova leaf springs, which will be sanded down to a mono leaf. Transfer link and hardware will made up of RB Motion items. More to come.

An awb 65 Dodge hardtop converted to a sedan
Hemifever replied to R. Thorne's topic in WIP: Drag Racing Models
Wow Ron that's a heck of an undertaking, but it looks great so far. Never heard of Fusion Firm, but it looks good on the headers. Grill is awesome. That Nova stocker you built a while back was the inspiration for my current stocker build, and you provided some great research pics in that build also. Always look forward to your builds. -
Very clean build. You nailed the stance perfectly. White drag cars always looked so good to me. Congrats on the build.
