Who makes a good B model Mack?
kwtrucker replied to freakshow12's topic in Truck Aftermarket / Resin / 3D Printed
I have the Mack B-61 from AITM. It's a very nice kit, the castings are smooth and clean. Dave Natale of AITM also has a complete frame kit tandem drive, with the fuel tanks, battery boxes, wheels/tires axles etc., and a complete truck kit with a single drive frame. Dave is very good to deal with too, excellent service and products. -

Wow, it's been 20 years since Kuenn started his model building business! (Read that on his Facebook page.) He has built alot of nice models over the years, cool! Those 1/16th scale models cover alot of shelf space. -
Outstanding work Mark! Are you going to put a sleeper on it and if so will it be a Pete hi-rise or flat top, or? Again great work!

Gordon your trailer looks excellent, very nice work on the super dog and dump trailer. Jim, don't you mean the Gary Wallace half round dump trailer kit, or is AITM coming out with a half round trailer kit? Doug -
Nice job JT, kit bashing always makes for a great creation! Doug

Revell of Germany Kenworth Dump Truck Reissue!?
kwtrucker posted a topic in Truck Kit News & Reviews
Hi all, I was looking on ebay today and found the Revell of Germany Kenworth Dump Truck as a reissue!! I've listed the link below. I have the original that was out back in the 90s. I made a search on the net and found sereval on line model dealers have this kit shown for a late Nov. release. This is very good news. Has anyone else heard any news about this. http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-SEALED-REVELL-Kenworth-Dump-Truck-07406-1-25-Model-Kit-/300806533616?pt=Model_Kit_US&hash=item46097771f0 Doug -
Cheetah extenable
kwtrucker replied to Hessel's topic in WIP: Model Trucks: Big Rigs and Heavy Equipment
Tony, The trailer only carries 20' containers. I'm guessing the reason for the sliding axles and suspension is to keep the trailer from "hopping or bouncing" when the trailer is loaded with an empty container or empty with no container. Possibly the axles are made to slide to support the weight of the load, depending on how much cargo is in the container, same as the sliding tandams on a 48' reefer or dry van are used. I've never heard these trailers refered to as extenable. They are not really extending, the axles/suspension just slide back and forth. Anyone else know anything about the use of the sliding axles on these trailers? Doug
