  1. Hi all, Started this Revell of Germany Pete 359 a few years ago, just need to paint a new sleeper for it and it will be finished. I stretched the hood to make an extended hood added a Monagram snap-tite Cat 3406A engine with detail, and lots of aftermarket and kit bashed parts. Here are a few pics....
  2. Dave, Thanks for the update on the Great Dane, it looks great. Lots of possibilites with that kit, as other members have stated. I'm looking forward to it hitting the shelves. Any updates on the Prostar? Thanks, Doug
  3. That is great news. I need one fo my Pete 352 110" cab conversion that Ben mastered. Doug
  4. Kurt, Excellent job on the GMC, I love the colors too. Doug
  5. Hey chuckyr, I remember that trailer well, but keck if I can remember who offered it. I think Ben Wicker would know. That would be a nice one to build for sure. Doug
  6. Dave, The Great Dane reefer looks awesome, I'm looking forward to this kit. Thanks for the update. Doug
  7. Tim, Very nice job on the Star. You've really caught the golden age of trucking with this project. I really like it. Doug
  8. Kurt, Nice progress on the General, I like it. Doug
  9. dodgefever, Contact Dave Natale at American Industrial Truck Models. Here's the link, http://www.aitruckmodels.com/ There's a link for Illini Replica Conversions on the sitr, they have two resin '50s Kenworth cab conversions. The link to IIIini Replica Conversion is not working for me, maybe you can get it to work. Doug
  10. I saw that yesterday on the AITM site. Glad that Dave brought it back, I know he did a great job reworking the master. Nice to see it with the grill/bumper and sleeper options. I sure like that flat top sleeper. I bought one years ago when Frank Gortsema had the masters and was selling them. I ended up trading it to a friend for some kits. Doug
  11. Hey chuckyr, Another source you might want to try for super single wheels are made by MoLuminum. Here is a link to the supplier's website, Sourkraut Models. http://sourkrautsmod...&product_id=646 I have two sets of these wheels, and they are top notch, right up there with Clint's products. You have to buy the drive hubs (set of 4) as a separate part though. Link for the drive hubs; http://sourkrautsmod...&product_id=379 Doug
  12. Kurt, Nice progress....the General will look great with those colors. Doug
  13. pete3522, You keep calling the Itareli Pete kit a 379. Itareli never made a 379 kit. The only Pete kits they have ever made are the 377 and the 378. The second issue of the 378 is the 378 "Long Hauler". That kit has a photo of a black 379 extended hood on the box cover which is the wrong photo. In the kit box is the 378 short hood, which is 119"BBC. Just wanted to clear up the confusion. scale trucker, What Pete conversion are you talking about? If your talking about Bill Drennen's 1/25th scale 379 extended hood cab conversion, it already comes with the correct grill. The grill in the Stepp's wrecker is a 359 grill with "379" headlamps and turn signals. The two grills are shaped alot different. Doug
  14. Dave, That's awsome news! A modern trailer, and a Prostar. Thank you, Doug
  15. Kurt, Great work, the Detroit looks awsome too. Do you know what color your going to paint the General? Nice to see you building again. Doug
  16. Hey Bart, Here is another good website http://www.shelbyelliott.com/. There are plenty of "large cars" listed with all the specs., you can find alot of good truck ideas on their site. On your wheel base measurement, the wheelbase is measured from the center of the front wheel to the center of the tandem rear axles. Doug
  17. Mark, Great job on the Pete, I love the colors and stripes. It dose look like a former Laidlaw truck, Tim! Doug
  18. Gary, This is the sleeper your talking about. It's the Kenworth 72" Aerodyne flat top, it dose not exist in kit form. You would have to take the 60" Aerodyne sleeper out of the AMT Kenworth T600 kit and cut it down, lengthen it to a 72" and modifiy the top of the truck cab to build one. Hope this helps you some. Doug
  19. Tim, The Pete looks great, very nice work. I love the colors too. Another great example of what you can do with the Italeri Pete kits. I live in northeast Texas, so I see Joe Brown International Prostars pulling drybulk tankers every once in a while, on I-20 on my way to and from work. Doug
  20. Tim, Nice video and photos of the BJ McKay K100. Thanks for taking the time to take the pics and videos of both Kenworths, I enjoyed them. Doug
  21. Ditto, I like the trailer too. Nice simple build. Doug
  22. Tim, Yes I was checking your new updated website with the link you provided. I'm still unable to bring up your site. I must me something on my end. Thanks for your help Tim. Doug
  23. Tim and Eric, great work on all the resin items. Thanks for making these parts avalible. I haven't posted here in a long long time. Doug
  24. Tim, I've had trouble pulling up your website today, (Saturday), not sure if the trouble is on my end or ?. Are you updating your site or do you have a new site address? Thanks, Doug
