this is a true story that my mom sent me via email about one of her friends. HAVE YOU EVER BEEN GUILTY OF LOOKING AT OTHERS YOUR OWN AGE AND THINKING, SURELY I CAN'T LOOK THAT OLD. WELL . . . YOU'LL LOVE THIS ONE. MY NAME IS ALICE , AND I WAS SITTING IN THE WAITING ROOM FOR MY FIRST APPOINTMENT WITH A NEW DENTIST. I NOTICED HIS DDS DIPLOMA ON THE WALL, WHICH BORE HIS FULL NAME. SUDDENLY, I REMEMBERED A TALL, HANDSOME, DARK-HAIRED BOY WITH THE SAME NAME HAD BEEN IN MY HIGH SCHOOL CLASS SOME 40-ODD YEARS AGO. COULD HE BE THE SAME GUY THAT I HAD A SECRET CRUSH ON, WAY BACK THEN? UPON SEEING HIM, HOWEVER, I QUICKLY DISCARDED ANY SUCH THOUGHT. THIS BALDING, GRAY-HAIRED MAN WITH THE DEEPLY LINED FACE WAS WAY TOO OLD TO HAVE BEEN MY CLASSMATE. AFTER HE EXAMINED MY TEETH, I ASKED HIM IF HE HAD ATTENDED MORGAN PARK HIGH SCHOOL . 'YES. YES, I DID. I'M A MUSTANG,' HE GLEAMED WITH PRIDE. 'WHEN DID YOU GRADUATE?' I ASKED. HE ANSWERED, 'IN 1970. WHY DO YOU ASK?' 'YOU WERE IN MY CLASS!', I EXCLAIMED. HE LOOKED AT ME CLOSELY.. THEN, THAT UGLY, OLD, BALD, WRINKLED FACED, LARGE-BEHIND, GRAY-HAIRED, DECREPIT, MAN, ASKED 'WHAT DID YOU TEACH???

The way I see it ....Untill a person shows his skillz as a builder he has no merit on which to base his expertise. I for one am enjoying your build Nick and I wish you well with it. The only advice I have to offer is this , build for yourself because noone eles matters when it comes to your satisfaction.

Yeah All I need now is a few scale hauling jobs to make this rig pay for its self LOL!

Believe it or not these LED's are sanded but the way you tone them down is to use Tamiya's clear paints that will bring them down a bit. Thx for your considerate advice.

Hey Jr. Im Glad you like the Cat It's a resin cast piece that comes with about 30 parts its a nice little kit. It takes a little prep to get it right but I do recomend it. You can find it at this web site http://mmtaer.webs.com/truckparts.htm you can also get the gearbox there.

I HATE THIS CAR!!!!! No I dont hate this car cause I know it's in good hands with you. But I hate Dusters! Let me tell you why, When I was 19 I had the opertunity to buy a 1965 Nova for 1600.00 from a friend of my father, So i saved every penny i had so i could buy my dream car. Finally I had the money it took me 6 months but i had the money! so i gave the whole 1600.00 to my dad and i say "Dad please pick up the nova for me today. And I'll see you tonight when I get off work." dad says "No problem son see ya tonight". Needless to say that was the longest night i ever had at work (i worked for Arbys). So after work i rushed home, ran to the garage and my dad meet me at the door , I said did you get it? he said "yeah son your car is inside" i swung the door open and .......... my mouth feel open, "Dad who's broke down powder blue duster is this?" " Its yours Son" he replyed . "What do you mean its mine?" "Well I figured you would be better off with this because you can fix it up " NO! NO! NO! I DONT WANT TO FIX THIS UP! I want the 11 second Nova with the rollcage and dual carbs and hood scoop. Stop playing dad wheres my car!!?" Dad just frowned and we loaded the Duster on the trailer and took it back to his friend. When we got there his friend met us at the drive way smiling he greeted us " Hey its been a good day for me, first i sell you the Duster then 20 mins later I sold the old Nova Hot Rod for 1200.00 bucks, me and the wife were just on our way out to dinner. What are you guys up to? I thought to myself "I Hate This duster!".......... Sorry about writing a book in your thread just had to vent LOL! your doin a great job so far cant wait to see the finished product.

I truly understand what you mean Russ, but think of it like this. When a artist starts his works he looks for the best canvas he can find then that canvas becomes a work of art. this cab is a better canvas now watch me turn it into a work of art. LOL! thx for your sincere compliment. oh let me leave you with this sence were talkin about the cab.

Hey fellas I was able to get the power plant just about finished enouogh for you to see it anyway. Its a Cat C-16 with 18 gear Eaton Auto Shifter Gearbox Enjoy!

Hey Fellas I was able to get the power plant about 85% complete just enough to show you these photos. Its a Cat C-16 I'll be adding a second turbo tonight. To put all that muscle to the road theres a Eaton 18 gear auto shift gearbox. it all been plumbed and wired I hope you enjoy ! The Eaton autoshifter up close please stay tuned for more to come.....
