  1. Thanks, Rick. Derrick, you should . . . if not so far away, at least hit some of the local regional shows in your area. You will have a blast.
  2. Nick, I think this is a wonderful model, and it exemplifies what a daily driver looks like through and through. Loaded with many wonderful details. Excellent.
  3. I wonder how many of us believe that the place where we live, or the geographical region we inhabit has a great deal to do with the models types and styles of models we end up building. In other words, to what extend does place (location, location, location) inform what you build and how you build it. Just curious. Here is an example: I grew up in Southern California surrounded by lowriders, surf wagons, and all kinds of custom vehicles, including old school choppers, etc . . . and I find that this many years later these types of vehicles still tug at my heart strings . . .
  4. I open it and inspect it. Sometimes opening a recently arrived kit will correspond with some eye candy I've seen in a magazine, or an illustration, and I will get started on the kit. If it holds my interest I will finish it, if not back in the box it goes until later when it calls out to me again.
  5. I hope others who were there and took pictures will provide their eye candy here to this thread. Best, DC
  6. Rob, I feel the same way . . . I never restore any of my builds for the reasons you mention. Bob, some great work and models, thanks for sharing.
  7. Way too many to list, but certainly: Model Car Magazine, Tamiya, The Modeler's Annual, Rat Rod, Old Skool Rodz, Rebel Rodz, The Rodder's Journal, and a whole bunch of others.
  8. Congratulations! Great model, and it most certainly deserves the attention.
  9. Just got back from the Birmingham Classic and now will resume my forum activities beginning with a peek to see what is going on with this thread.
  10. Another wonderful one in the works, Luke. Thanks for the inspiration.
  11. Dennis, could you please post a few pictures taken in a better light. These are too fain and dark. I'd like to add them to the next IN PROGRESS VIDEO. Thanks everyone for the on-going exchange of pictures, illustrations, and discussion. Very energizing indeed.
  12. Clean and smooth and well built. Nice work, J.

  17. The eye candy keeps rolling off your bench. Pure GOLD! And to think it's not even painted yet and it looks so good. Wonderful, John. Looking forward to more.

  21. Folks, it was great meeting several of you there who are also a part of this forum. We had a great time, and the models were nothing short of spectacular. I hope next year to see many more of you. I would like to thank Tommy May and all the other members of the Birmingham club for the great hospitality. Here's a link of the Fotki archives and also stay tuned in for a video from the show: http://public.fotki.com/vsuarez666/voodoo-customs-chop-shop/road_trip_archives/2012-birmingham-cla/

  24. Yippie! The paint is going on. Making progress. This one will be done soon, I can feel it. Right?
  25. Sorry, Gregg, can't help you there . . . the only think I can do on Facebook is the basic minimum. I don't know how that stuff works. Congrats on all the LIKES!
