  1. Mr. Cruz, I've only used this brand of primer once and I really liked the results. So you use it under the enamel paints? Or do you tint it with enamel to get other colors?
  2. Danny, this picture is not recent, but they've restocked pretty well now. For a while those racks were pretty empty.
  3. Rob, that sounds pretty classy indeed. If I starred in Westerns, I'd be tempted to show up in one of these .
  4. Your shocks? I am still trying to find my eyeballs which just popped. I keep drooling over these last round of pictures. I can't take it anymore, John. I am moving next door to you so I can watch you build.
  5. Again, my shop must be doing well because there's now a whole wall of just model cars, and then everything else is on the other side. I've got to swing by and take another picture of the shelves. And it's pretty equally divided between AMT and REVELL with a little TAMIYA and FUJIMI thrown in for a little extra variety.
  6. John, seriously, I don't know how you do this amazing work with your builds, but I'm all out of accolades! Just when you think you've seen it all, you keep raising the bar higher and higher . . .
  7. Yeah, everyone arrives in limos to avoid all the hassle of having to drive back drunk. I guess it's the safest way to go. I bet those limo drivers have a million and three stories to tell about the Hollywood debauchery . . . .
  8. Rob, don't you worry. After you clock in about 20-30 years your work bench will look like a hobby shop!
  9. Walter, I really like that . . . I guess you can make a belly tanker following the same building techniques.
  10. Dave, you are right, I've never had any issue either. BTW, that's a great Grim Reaper vehicle!
  11. Wayne, you bring up a good point, and that is that most hobby shops try to follow the trends in terms of what is selling, where they can make the most money, and from what I've seen, they are doing all right with RC. There's another hobby shop I go to that it is all RC stuff with nothing else but a sprinkling of other things, but I still go because sometimes I find old kits on the shelves . . .
  12. It turned out real nice. I love the collection in the background.
  13. I'm wondering if the last couple of years of new kit re-releases and new tool releases have made an impact on your local hobby shop (if they have survived). I know it's had a very BIG impact on mine, including the GEARZ National Contest. Normally if you go to Michaels or Hobby Lobby they will have a few shelves with models, but they seem to be what is out NOW. Here's a picture I took of the HOBBY TOWN--my LHS--with a healthy mixture of all things styrene: I am happy to report, they're plastic models have doubled since this picture was taken. And of course, this is the other reason I keep going back: Most of the business this particular LHS does focuses on RC Cars and Airplanes . . . but the owner is a huge fan of model cars, so he keeps the shelves well stocked.
  14. Wow, Junior, that's great scratch-building on the drum set. This is looking real good, keep it going.
  15. I love the color. Nice model.
  16. Nice collection. I love the Eco. Great little vehicle with a lot of charm.
  17. Sam, you just made my eyes and mouth water . . . what a beautiful reference picture!
  18. Doctor Cranky and EYEGORE will be lurking in the background until the end!
  19. Striking colors, STUNNING model. Great, beautiful job.
  20. WOW, that's great detailing on that engine, and this build is wonderful. Please keep it going. Thank you.
  21. I like it, Shane, it's looking excellent. Grandpa would be proud.
  22. Can't wait to see more . . . bring on the eye candy, please.
  23. The paint's looking nice and glossy. Can't wait to see more.
  24. Excellent progress. I love how you keep a few pots on the stove, Ira. You are always cooking up some great eye candy for the rest of us. THANK YOU, chap.
