  1. Robert, this thing is a MONSTER. Oh man, it looks great. Keep it going, you've got a lot of progress already in it. Thanks for the pictures, I copied them to the next video archive. Joe C., you've got all sorts of wonderful parts line up. I can feel you getting ready. Go, man, go! Good luck. Ken, great work. Got the pictures, thank you.
  2. Terry, that's going to be as cute as a button. Like where you are going with it.
  3. Glenn, one of the things I appreciate about getting older is that I no longer really have to stay tuned in to all the bad news all over the world. When my daughters were growing up we would listen to the news on the radio and I would tell them to remember some of the conflicts in the world, in particular the Middle East, and that when they were my age, those things would still be going on. I did myself a favor a long time ago, I just tuned out. Now I just focus on my writing and building models.
  4. All right, I'm heading back out for another round of pictures . . . I hope to have a good day out there. Stay tuned in.
  5. That Smug Bug is FANTASTIC. Great score indeed. Lucky you.
  6. Thanks for the update, Joe. I already revised the list in post #1. 110 people, I still can't believe how many of you there are. No wonder so much eye candy is flying all over the place. THANK YOU all!
  7. Lordy, you guys are making progress. I finally finished cleaning up all the parts and got the body ready for primer tomorrow. I will have some pictures tomorrow. Keep up the great work, folks.
  8. You are adding lots of visual interest with all those details. I like the skull, and the red accents really stand out. Keep it going. Suddenly, I'm also thinking of a motorized rickshaw (spell?).
  9. Thanks, Brandon, for sharing your work. A white sweep is often all you need for good photos. Tony, thanks, tomorrow I am going back out if it doesn't rain and taking more photos.
  10. Bill and Tim, thank you both for the wonderful contributions. I'm a big fan of Robert Williams.
  11. Paul your body is looking great with those decals. Luke, I love this model, it looks like you have it all ready to go.
  12. I'm actually visualizing a monitor dragon, a gator, a mongoose. The paint will really help make it pop.
  13. Oh yeah, Roger, you have to wear a hat, keep the sun off. Usually I find the best times are either in the morning or mid afternoon, but if you want those shadows, then yes, you are going to have to brave the heat. Great pictures though.
  14. Jim, I'm trying my best not to get arrested! Thank you, Harry. I am going to take a whole bunch more tomorrow. This stuff gets to be addictive.
  15. Oh boy, now you are thinking. But unless you get lucky and find one used in a swap meet or yard sale, you are going to have to dish out the big bucks. They have it on EBAY in CHINA for 12.95, just the casing. The other thing I was going to suggest is that if you made all the right mods to it, then you can perhaps cast it.
  16. It's got a very interesting slingshot dragster look to it I like.
  17. Thanks for the great article link, Adam. Very interesting, and cool.
  18. Cool, I guess you are going grill-less on this one?
  19. Wow, you are fast, I posted the previous comment before you posted these last two shots in primer. Okay, much better pictures and we get to see all the details better.
  20. Rob, this one looks very interesting. I'm liking the open cockpit idea. Is it my imagination or the angle of the photograph, but that wheel looks huge? Keep it going. Looking forward to more.
  21. Shane was that in the Boyd TV Series? I used to have almost a complete set of those and loaned them out.
  22. Gabriel, I am assuming you mean VALLEJO ACRYLICS, which come in a variety of lines, including MODEL AIR which comes ready to use with the airbrush. Chuck is right, although I make a mixture of Windex, airbrush matte medium, and distilled water. Then you thin the paints with it starting with equal parts thinner mixture to paint. I really love these paints.
  23. Ryan, I looked it up and the shell is what is not as expensive as the rest of the mouse, which runs about 59 dollars.
  24. Boy, that's perfect. Thanks, Ryan. Can't wait to see more, Sam!
  25. Nah, if you find a desolate spot nobody is going to bother you.
