  1. Initially I was going to do the Mini Cooper and then the Shelby Cobra just sang to me. I've had this kit for a while and I've always wanted to build one, so here it goes. This is the Revell Kit. Got all the parts cleaned and smoothed, and the body sanded and ready for primer. The chassis on this kit is a real beauty and easy to put together. I've fallen in love with this kit, how easy it all comes together, so I am sure i will be building a few more.
  2. Lordy, I just don't know what to say anymore. Every time I think I've seen it all along comes yet another amazing build in progress.
  3. Sounds very interesting and I am delighted to be a judge. I will not be entering as a participant, of course. All right, take your vitamins and keep the eye candy rolling!
  4. Wow, there's enough energy going on with these builds to start NASA back up. Thank you for the inspiration. Keep the great progress coming. We still have until Monday which seems so far away. Stay tuned in for some of my progress.
  5. Wow, some excellent builds in progress. Keep the eye candy coming.
  6. Man, that looks beautiful. Great job. Hey, hope you are feeling better after the surgery.
  7. Welcome home, and we hope you will continue to share your eye candy with us.
  8. Both Mikes have great ideas. Get a bee smoker and still have EYEGORE smoke the cigar while I take the photographs. Brilliant!
  9. Amen to that, Chuck. Revell is putting out a 76 Van. It's listed on MODEL ROUND UP. I hope they call come back, why not?
  10. Mike, I am looking into a smoke machine or fog machine. I can't smoke cigars in the morning like that without turning a little green!
  11. Roger, I found it! Thank you. For those interested, please check out Mr. Yu's amazing work here: http://www.rogersmodels.com/
  12. Wonderful progress, Eelco. Lots of eye candy folks, keep it rolling. That does sound pretty cool. I guess you don't have any pictures?
  13. It's another beauty, Peter . . . thank you for sharing it.
  14. Whatever you think it is, Dave, I like it. Again, the idea behind all these trends and styles is to keep building models that POP and stand out. It's a wonderful model, nicely photographed too.
  15. Roger, that's one beautiful model. Why do I get the feeling I have seen it before. Was this part of one of your dioramas? Do you have a Fotki archive? You should start one and keep all your builds there. Let me know. Best, DC
  16. Dave, I don't know any more than what Rick has revealed to us. I think he mentioned that his manager or someone he knows in the complex where he lives broke in with his key and took all his kits. It's my understanding that Rick is living in a fairly tough place right now, and I hope he finds an answer to some of these questions.
  17. Rick, bless your hear, this is why this forum just RULES!
  18. I hope many of you will feel free to post some of your favorite rat rods, either in scale or real . . .thank you.
  19. Jason, welcome to the forum. Hope you have lots of Popcorn in your pantry. Lots of great builds going on here. And the conversation is always interesting. Looking forward to more of your work.
  20. I have seen this before, and really love Carl's styrene addiction. And his mancave is very cool. I'm jealous. Thanks for sharing.
  21. Mike, you and Harry always amaze me with your PS magic. Thanks for the kind words. I think this stuff is just as much fun as building models. You can quickly burn through several memory cards playing with photos. I hope people will continue to share and post their PHOTO experiments and fun here . . .
  22. Hang in there, John. All you can do is pay your respects and keep the good memories alive.
  23. Here are just a couple more: Of course, this one is my favorite:
  24. So this morning I set up shot earlier in the same spot and took about another 80 pictures, most of them not as good as I had expected, but I did get some interesting ones: I even lit a stoggie and played around with smoke: I think next time I return I will probably do a shoot during a sunny day . . . hoping the light will be better for the pics. Too many of them turned out blurry . . . The beauty of digital is that you can go crazy shooting as many pictures as you want, and then you cull down to the ones you like.
  25. Brandon, that's where the fun is. If you go to the craft store or an arts supply place you might be able to find a roll of white paper you can probably use as a sweep. Good luck. Looking forward to some more photos and eye candy.
