  1. Here's the body and the rolling chassis and interior getting ready to be mated. The salt disks come from SCALEDREAMZ and they make a wonderful, perfect look for the vehicle we are after. The interior of the 49 is always a pleasure to build and detail.
  2. The next color is HOK's Euro Red, a color I love. It is deep and very bright. Here's the body painted with the decals going on: The fun of doing these types of phantom vehicles really comes from mixing the Cranky Decals with those that Slixx Decals provides. You can never run out of ideas.
  3. The great thing about these CRANKY DECALS is that you get lots of options, and you no longer have to stick with the original sheet. There are others to play with. You need a well painted body, smooth, and you are good to go: We applied a coat of whiter primer, followed by HOK white base coat. Tape slow as you go, enjoy the process.
  4. The idea behind this build came directly from SO-CAL. I've always loved that red and white combination, and I wanted to also have a nice canvas for the new CRANKY DECALS that will allow me to create some very unique pieces. As far as one of the best canvas to try out new ideas, nothing beats the 49 Merc: With the long skirts too, a bit of smoothing on those fat fenders. When they made this car, I think they broke the mold.
  5. The flames turned out beautiful. This one is on its way to the finish line.
  6. Chuck, The Dale reminds me a little bit of the DeLorean, on the front, of course. http://blog.hemmings.com/index.php/2010/02/01/the-dale-brochure-in-full/
  7. Marshall, those tend to lend themselves better to the possibilities. Shoot, even the Mini Cooper has potential.
  8. Bill, I love the design, and thank you for the article.
  9. What interests me about this is the design possibility of turning any American car design into a three-wheel vehicle like this.
  10. No, I would not buy one of these and would rather stick with my cruiser motorcycle, but I do wish there would be more of these vehicles on the road. I think they are still too expensive. http://www.eliomotors.com/cool-colors/
