  1. Cool, man, build away, if you end up with half a dozen figures in different poses, you can cast them or I can put you in touch with my buddy Ryan who is crazing about casting and you and him can go into business. I'm telling you lots of people would jump on these, and buy a whole bunch from ya. Needless to say, Cranky is very very very happy!
  2. All right, maties . . . I've got the doors painted but they are drying so in the meantime I am working on moving the base to the table top photo studio and work from there, which makes it easier to take better pics . . . Something tells me all this hard work is going to pay off . . . which has put a big smile on my face!
  3. Thanks, Charlie--and Tony, builds like this come to me in dreams, really. I might use some reference pictures here and there but I just lose myself in the build, that's all. You gotta have fun, and I've always found being too much of a stickler for accuracy often gets in the way. I'm not disrespecting those folks who really measure and plan, I'm just saying that this is the way I work best. Eye balling and letting my imagination run wild. Stay tuned in for more progress. I am painting the doors so that's the next round of detail coming up.
  4. Here are a couple more . . . I still have to finish the doors and a whole bunch of other elements . . . Stay tuned in for more . . .
  5. The walls fought me with the painting, but I got them to a much better place then they were yesterday. Working on such a large canvas with the airbrush is not as much fun. I applied several colors to this, including, black, gray, light and medium green, and then finally a mixture of cockpit green and light sand . . . this morning I had a break through in that I sprayed Tamiya light sand from about 24 inches above each wall panel and that did the trick . . . then, of course, what would the back of the warehouse be without a little graffiti. The windows are also done . . . and I have a few stand alone elements, including a scratch-built boiler, that will make appearances here and there . . . I like the way the windows turned out, although they took a long time to finish . . .
  6. All right, maties, it's a Sunday of painting and getting this sucker on it's way to getting finished. Stay tuned in for some progress . . .
  7. See I keep coming back to this figure. With a casting of this figure, the builder can then make more changes, cut off a hand . . . drill out one eye, etc . . . We need a set of figures in different poses to really get the whole Zombie/Post Apocalypse off the ground!
  8. Slixx, buddy, you are doing a great job, and if you know how to cast them, heck, you can make a great little business off maybe 3-5 figures, or maybe a couple of with some head and limb options. Keep me posted, I'm definitely interested in buying, if you cast them!!! You rock, buddy.
  9. OH THAT's PERFECT. Yes, you need to make a few different poses, or one figure with a variety of options, like a couple of different heats, etc . .. and then you can put 3-5 figures on the market, and believe me some of us would pay up to 25 or more for them!
  10. Excellent, yes, we need more figures like this one on the market.
  11. Way to go, buddy, that's looking great. Keep it going. I love it!
  12. Wow, Brandon, that's a good find, but it would be good to know what scale that is . . . I am thinking of looking into the Tamiya Campus Friends and Preiser Adam & Eve sets and then maybe modifying my own figures . . . But my original point was the express an interest in already-made figures . . . even if they are unpainted!
  13. Wow, that's a simple bench. And perfect too. You open it and get work done, and then you close it when you are done. Nobody sees or messes with your work in progress. Perfect.
  14. Mike, you hit the ball out of the park with this one. What a beauty. I love it. And it goes to show how easy it is to make your models POP when you place them in just the right environment! Congratulations.
  15. These make Cranky ultra happy on a Sat. morning! Thanks, and keep 'em coming! If the world came to an end tomorrow, how are you gonna survive? You gonna need a ride!!!
  16. I think it's getting to be a mighty fine time for someone with sculpting skills to come up with Zombie figures in 1/24th scale. It would be great to have a set of say 3-5 figures with extra parts, etc . . . Those things would rule!!! Jimmy Flinstone are you listening? Scale Auto Equipment LTD are you listening? Someone? Anyone?
  17. I think this is going to look super cool. Keep it going, chap. All you need is the track, the fence, the stand (done) and more figures . . . oh and the cars and you've got yourself a neat little scene. Wonderful.
  18. That is one clean and well built model. I like it.
  19. Great execution, and a wonderful look. It's a keeper!
  20. Lots of great details . . . and it looks like its lots of fun to tell different stories . . .
  21. More please, this thing is awesome.
  22. Cranky wants to build one NOW!
  23. Z, your work is always magnificent and an inspiration to me. I'm always stalking your builds on your Fotki account. Great work, mon ami. Cheers, Cranky. And Jairus, YOU HAVE TO FINISH IT!!!
  24. I am happy to report the painting process has begun but I am far from getting done, so no pics yet! Stay tuned in . . .
