  1. Geez, that's GORGEOUS . . . if Chopper openned his own 1:1 shop he'd be rich and cater to the stars!!!
  2. I totally agree with you about that, kits need to be built!!! But I also see you are still a kid yourself. You will never grow up . . . you will never stop having fun, you rascal!!!
  3. Would it help if we all sat around the table eating beach sand pit bbq pork and poi and held hands? If you listen closely that's the sound of the immortal Iz singing his own rendition of "Somewhere Over the Rainbow . . . " He sang like an angel, that's for sure!!!
  4. There you are, and now there's Gregg, it is beginning to look like the great best times are back. Since there was no column from you two this month, and since I am a big fan of the column (like many people here are), I had started to miss the banter between the two of you . . . I mean, you know, there was Sonny and Cheer, Abbott & Costello, Bert & Ernie . . . I mean, the list goes on!!! But MCM had J & G or G & J and suddenly you both sent us all into a tailspin of withdrawal!!! What's it gonna take to get the two of you back to the mag?
  5. Hey, I just came back from vacation and finally sat down to read through all the mags, and see that in this latest issue of MCM there are no Jairus Watson eye candy. What's up with that? I hope he is not demanding a sabatical or rest!
  6. Actually gents, the B&D Forum has been going through some reorganizatio lately to make it more friendly and better organized. There are lots of good things about this forum, in particular the core group of diorama builders that bailed out of the SAM forum when their WW3 thread (a project started by Tommy May a couple of years ago) was deleted forever . . . anyway, there's lots of renewed energy on that forum, including the fact that it's the only place that actually gives out awards to best models and dioramas (voted so by all its members) every month. Of course, there's always great eye candy including the K&J Mays Landing 2007 Kruize, which you have to see with your own eyes to belive it. It doesn't hurt the folks over here at Model Cars Magazine forum to check us out whenever things slow down, and vice versa! Have a great 2008!!!
  7. I have to confess in the 8 plus years since I started building again, this is the one model I treasure the most and the one that kept a big smile on my face while I built it . . . also, it proved a point to me that you don't have to go inside to have a model you can enjoy . . . It was actually this anatomically correct pig I found on EBAY that got the whole build started . . .
  8. The fact that there are 12 of them sitting on my workbench right now means it is a great kid . . . the last time I did this was for the Monogram 50 Ford. Thanks for the great review.
  9. Oh, and here's my other daily driver . . .
  10. Here's one of my daily drivers . . . a '55 Chevy 210 . . . with a bit of attitude!
  11. It's the epitome of a well executed, classy, and clean build. Congrats.
  12. Here are a few more pics . . . This is where I am basically, though I also have parts of the interior, chassis, and wheels done . . .
  13. Here's a project that I've had on the bench for a couple of years now and I keep thinking about it just because I've had lots of fun with it . . . and I know, I have way too many unfinished projects on the work bench, but this one keeps calling out to me . . . It's a futuristic take on the Cuda, say if the world came to an end and all you had to work with was your neighbor's garage jewel . . . I also could not help but reach into my stash of toy parts (a gift from a family kid!) for something to make this one stand out . . . . And suddenly: BINGO, a claw to crush other vehicles with! Some of this stuff is just pure and irrisistibly fun!!!
  14. That's interesting, and it is something I am always concerned about. Thanks for bringing it up . . . I've gotten into the habit of changing all my passwords eveyr couple of weeks. Better to be safe than sorry!
  15. Folks, Hollywood's salt racer Merc is done . . . and I hope it blows you away the way it did me. Amazing build . . . http://images30.fotki.com/v50/photos/9/985...IMG_3417-vi.jpg
  16. Mitchum, you rascal, you are always making me smile!!!
  17. I likes it a lot . . . love the color! Great job!
  18. Steve, if you talk to Bill B soon, please tell him there's a whole bunch of us who would love to have access to his great work via a Fotki or similar photo archive place. It's a real shame we don't see Bill's work more often on the internet. Thanks. Best, V.
  19. The only word that comes to mind is: GORGEOUS!!! Congrats on yet another great addition to your collection!
  20. Okay, Mr. Hawaii Natural Tan. I am going to nominate one vehicle but it has two builders: I nominate the "Camp Mule" built by Pat Covert and Ken Hamilton! Cheers!
  21. Does anyone know if Mr. Borgen has a website, or either a Photobucket or Fotki archives . . . if so, would you have the link?
  22. Yes, sorry, I meant Del Paone . . . Does anybody know if Mr. Bill Borgen has a website or a Fotki archive?
  23. Tim K and Tommy May are great builders, and they are a heck of a lot of fun too, though.
  24. Here's a better picture of that one:
  25. Dan Paone (gee, I hope I got the spelling right) And also, Dave Thibedaeau . . . Spell? And Clay Kemp . . . .
