  1. They have been running LP / gas trucks that my brother drives for years in Toledo. They are small block chevy engines with a 4.13 gear. They lack power when it is cold if you use the LP . He states that you warm the truck up with gas then switch over. If it is below 20 you will not make it up the hill when truck is loaded with papers on LP . Yes it is rather flat around here so once you get up the hill you are good to go on LP.
  2. An old build up should work better . Now all you need to do is wait for someone to trade .
  3. This is awesome Ira ! You could scratch build some Boss 429 valve covers for that block (you have the talent) . Yes I am a ford guy. LOL
  4. Being from a large family we had many Pintos . My dad drove a used 71 or 72 with a 1600 and a four speed, with Firestone 500's on it . Yes the were one of the few good sets of them out there . He drove 90 miles everyday for work . He had the car for 3 years or so and it had well north of 100,000 miles . My brother turned in the tires for his Pinto and Firestone gave him good money for them.WE had three wagons one runabout (see above car ) and a couple other hatchbacks. So yes I would purchase a few kits if they came out .They are to much money on Ebay .
  5. The first model kit I ever built Was this 75 Pinto. Put in the 429 per my brothers helping hand . Still laying around someplace.
  6. Nice work so far . Looks like a winner to me.
  7. Nice car.
  8. What can you say about work that holds up well for this long ? Awesome !!
  9. Would a straight pin or a sewing needle work here for the bolt going into the head ? Just glue a piece of hex stock on the end .
  10. Very well done . Just wondering if the grill is a cut down 34 ford pickup custom grill?
  11. Another nice Galaxie ! Two in a week . Now we need some 62's to show up .
  12. I would have to say that they would sell more of the Oldsmobile Cutlass kits than they think. Just look at the sales numbers of the 1:1 cars . If they just came out with a 78 or 79 I would be happy ! Also I do not think that anybody has ever produced a rear drive Cutlass in 1/25 or 1//24 scale past the 74 model year , in any medium .
  13. The Tamiya kits should fit that good at the price they charge .
  14. Just have to make every trip count . Time to start building the stash of kits the girl friend says i do not need!
  15. This looks like a great project Jesse.

  18. Modelhaus a great product made by good people ! It is always a pleasure to see them at the Toledo show.
  19. Thank you for the Info Art . It was a good video.
  20. Doug try O'Reilly Auto parts.
  21. I hope that I did this Quote thing right . Anyway think of Petty blue when thinking of the color and why it was thought of orange at one time . It was 1910 when it was put together money was not spent like it is today on a race car . Could they have just mixed what they had in cans and there it is A dark yellow orange kind of color. The car is what it is in the old before untouched colors . It does not look like a bright yellow to me (that is just my eye ) , I also do not think that yellow darkens with age .Just my 10 cents worth .
  22. Cool Build ! It may freak you out, if you forget it is a glow kit some night !
