Nice work ! I just need to quit flapping my gums and start gluing more so I finish something !I just hope my first finished model in 25 + years looks this good.
This is awesome ! The wait for the USAC sprints coming to Toledo just got longer ! They flat foot the 5/8 paved mile track here . It is something to watch these cars looking for traction coming around turn four into the front straight away . We like to sit in turn one for some reason. Anyway great build so far.
Keep on gluing up these kits young man . At your age my brothers were helping me at home, or should I say building my kits with me watching them . They did not want me making a mistake. Good job so far on your progress .
Nice work ! Hits the spot when thinking about going to Toledo Speedway to watch the winged sprints on the paved 5/8 mile track. Yes I know dirt is better but the local track is paved.
Talked to a friend of mine that has a 1985 G body Cutlass . He told me that the Buick and the olds share the doors and roof with a different rear Quarters and deck lid.
Yes the side windows in the rear are different so is the front clip. The olds and the monty have the same frame. not sure about the buick.
I was hoping to find a picture of this truck in paint . I drove a 1990 form 1990 till 2005 . Put a few miles on her 240,000 . If I could only find another swb that did not have the rust mine had when I scraped it.
They have been running LP / gas trucks that my brother drives for years in Toledo. They are small block chevy engines with a 4.13 gear. They lack power when it is cold if you use the LP . He states that you warm the truck up with gas then switch over. If it is below 20 you will not make it up the hill when truck is loaded with papers on LP . Yes it is rather flat around here so once you get up the hill you are good to go on LP.
