I agree they are very pricey, as myself I have an original MPC 73 caprice unbuilt kit. It is painted with the factory gold metallic paint job as it states on the box...

This is a fantastic kit to build and very well detailed. This is a must have kit if you like Mercedes. I added some different Aoshima wheels with P 7000 tires, detail painting, Testors clear glosscoat, and of course I built it my style. I hope you can see the detail this kit has with my build.
